Brett Anderson is a legend!! Some of the work he's done with suede are some of the most beautiful songs in music. Long live the Brett!

Brett Anderson is one classy dude. While I admire his drive to want to create an album, I do have mixed feelings about his assertion that there is an appetite for an album in general. The unbundling of an album started long before the digital revolution. Mixtapes were a reflection of that un-bundling. I remember that as a child in the 90s living in India. That being said, the single from "Night Thoughts" that really should have gotten far more exposure is "No tomorrow". That song is right up there with their hits from the 90s in terms of being commercially viable. It is unfortunate that ageism seems to be the rule of the game in the musical mainstream.

Night Thoughts is a difficult album for a Suede fan that likes them for their pop hits. That being said, it is amazing that a band in these days feels compelled to embark on a project of this sort. There is an artistic honesty in this endeavor that seems so rare these days. I hope the new album "Blue Hour" has a few pop nuggets in there of the sort that their brilliant "Coming up" album had.

Been a huge Suede fan since 93... and Brett is always so interesting to listen to... he talks about us being all cavemen... well I can't stop focusing on that leonine ginger viking as he talks 😅😉

Brett , Martin Gore and Dave Gahan and a few more are the last of Mahicans . They just don’t make them anymore . One girl to watch out for is Sharon Kovacs . It’s hard to find true talent now days

Trash and Beautiful Ones are massively uplifting so it’s not wholly true that there’s no joy in their music
