Hi there, I am currently struggling with Tango Same foot lunge... Did you also make a tango video by any chance?

Great videos! Lights low gives better color, contrast and makes you both look better.

I’d say lights up please. Your tutorials are the best! Would love to have one of your tutorials on natural pivots, waltz or foxtrot, (even if it had to be lights down!) All the best, Dave.

Definitely lights up. Another awesome video, thank you. Was hoping to see a telespin exit from samefoot lunge on the tutorial like the one on the completion clip at the beginning.
@SKDancesport4 жыл бұрын
We specifically did not give an exit because in order to explain how to do Telespin well would have taken up valuable time teaching the Same Foot Lunge itself! We will likely do a video with a series of different exits from Same Foot Lunge in the future. 😀

Lights up is better. Please discuss in another video how to lead Inside Promenade Position.
@SKDancesport3 жыл бұрын
That's a great idea and actually something we have on our "To Do List". Be sure to check out our video on the lady's dance position in Standard Dancing. In that video we only talk about the lady's position in closed and a bit in promenade, but it's certainly a start and would give you a good idea of how Kora approaches her position.

We have a same foot lunge after a corte with develope in foxtrot (and continuously strugling with it) and after seeing your videos I tend to get why it is what we're dancing isn't working. Lady should cross left foot (with weight) after develope to go directly in SFL? I close and change weight on the count of landing of the develope. Your ideas? (Hope you can understand what I mean). Love your videos!
@SKDancesport2 жыл бұрын
Hmmmm, I'm having trouble visualizing your combination. If you're coming from a Hover Corte, then the lady would need to step forward on her left foot toward your right side, then cross her right foot behind in a Right Hinge Action to end in the SFL. Meanwhile, you would move wide across the floor diagonally forward with your right foot, then rise to lead her to cross her right foot behind her left, then lower over your right foot as she lowers on her right foot into the SFL. Does this make sense? Sometimes it's hard to describe how to dance a figure without a visual aid! 🙃

Beautiful amalgamation. Unrelated to the video what figure preceeds xline. Samefoot lunge?
@SKDancesport4 жыл бұрын
Pretty much anytime you are with your feet closed you can do an xline - that is actually a great question and I am sure we can do a video of this....xlines have definitely been out of style for too long - time to bring them back!!! BTW, checkout our new videos on vimeo.com/channels/ariaballroom

Lights on please. It's much easier to see your body shape and positions especially as you're wearing black. Thank you for another really helpful video

Lights on and don't wear black on black for the both of you and don't wear a long skirt. The point being, it is difficult to make out where the legs are.

What's the difference between telespin and pivot
@SKDancesport4 жыл бұрын
Great question! A Telespin is a full figure made up of many individual elements: a reverse turning heel turn, a slip to inside promenade, the lady's run across the man, a reverse pivot, and (in it's pure form) a feather finish. You can find a quick breakdown of the Telespin in our Heel Turns Tutorial. A pivot is simply an action: a rotation on a single foot, either on the heel or the toe, turning either right or left.
