Ashcroft is a good spot for train watching. If you go east of there on the road to the tie treatment plant and the logistics yard you will find good spots to set up as both lines are side by side for some distance. Any of the locals will give you directions.

Unfortunately that end of Evans Road has been put behind gates and security guards. It is no longer public access.
