I love my Skeeter FXR 21 (2020) . Not sure if you noticed the relationship from the bow hook to the winch is far. This is going to be an issue for the operator who is not as limber as they use to be. Spot on with the review. I like the performance a bit better than the numbers. Spot on for the rest though. Solid info!

Ken, love the videos! Whats your opinion on the different outboards powering these boats? Do you feel the Mercury or Yamaha affect the boats overall performance (holeshot, top speed) since you've driven both? Also, are you planning on driving a ZXR? Great video! Learning a lot for my next purchase. Would love to see a recap video ranking each segment individually across all boats. I love hearing about neat amenities but the ride and the hull craftsmanship are tops for me as I get on some big rough lakes.

It's an entry level boat, more like a Nitro, go look at one, lower quality carpet, nothing new in the design except those poorly designed rod boxes.

Great review as always buddy. I really like the FXR21. To run this boat you have to be ok with the fact of only running a Yamaha. I guess technically you could put a Mercury on the back and you would really have a unicorn then haha.

@@clarkholton461 no not at all lol. Ken tournament fisher and 250 hp is max for most organization. Let him demo what he would really buy. He might score the 223 really really high. Only thing he might ding it on 3 thing. being to long which he might love at same time, not able get a lot info from boat repair shop, the center box being two apartments. Most people thinks its go fast boat company But it handles great, fit and finish top notch specially the wiring. Its what you expect for a 90k+ boat. Also he might say something about thier website but that 100% forgivable when call ballistic and you talk to the owner himself. You are not going get that from skeeter, ranger, triton, nitro, bass cat, phoenix lol.

Ken, Enjoyed the review(s). One thing I would say in regards to the porpusing/low speed ride- I have a 17FX21 LE. I added Ionic Lithium batteries and my hole shot and low speed performance Dramatically improved. I know mine is a different hull: FX vs FXR. but wanted to mention how much better taking the weight out of the rear improved the ride ( low 20s and still stay on pad without porpusing )

It’s a trash can not a day box that’s why when you remove it you can see the hull.

Ken- you need to be running a four blade prop or even better a high five prop if you want to really know what a boat is capable of in “big water”. You will also be able to run on pad at much lower speeds. .

Other great benefit of trailer brake is ability to use lock to prevent theft of boat/trailer.

I run a Skeeter fx20 and added a custom hydrofoil from CB Marine. Now I can run 18mph on plane with no porpoising. Not your traditional hydrofoil that looks ugly, actually looks nice on the SHO

Ken, entire sub structure is aluminum...don't need the slam latch plates. You never once mentioned the sweet grab handles on seats (unless I missed it). great review I have a 2021 APEX love it so far. By the way with little seat time porpoise gone and they run a fair amount faster than what you reported. Mid 70's all day
