it's not true, the fingers have electrical servos in them, off the shelf standard-size servos. they run on electricity. you can hear them in the beginning.

This is just a puppet armature. Jim Henson was using the same technology for films like Labyrinth back in the 80's. Cables and levers. Nicely executed though.

How is this a robot? It's not powered by electricity. It's just a fancy pulley system. You'd be more accurate to call it a fancy squeaky plastic suit than a "robot".
