Skerries (County Dublin, Ireland): Sites and History

I stayed in Skerries for my last night of a 17 day trip of Ireland. This is a lovely town with a great Waterfront and good places to eat. I did not go to Dublin as I cannot stand big cities no matter where they're at. While here we stayed at the white cottages and they were wonderful and so were our hosts . This town is completely different than anything you'll find on the west coast of Ireland which I love but you will not be disappointed in this town at all. The pubs here have a wider selection of beers then most places on the west coast also. It's kind of a lay back but still a little upscale. And just let me mention this we picked this town because it was so close to the airport as we had in very early flight. Very convenient and very lovely. Thank you for the video .

Cheers for the video I am originally from Skerries and was born in 1977 the national boys school was last used around 1983 before they built the realt na mara in mourn view and I attended the original boys school so I think your dates are a little off because I remember sitting beside an open fire in our class with our duffal coats on trying to stay warm, also the big snow of 1982 the pipes burst and we had a few days of school. Thanks for the video of skerries we has many memories of growing up in this town and l really apriciated your narrative on the town.
