As a Yank, I didn't learn of Runrig or Capercaillie and the entire host of other celtic-folk, rock, punk and trad folks until about 10-12 years ago. These lads are going to be among the best of them.

I'm not from Scotland personally, but my ancestors are. When I visited, my favorite place was Oban. So between seeing the sights, hearing the pipes and seeing Skerryvore and all those wonderful Scots with them, it makes me proud to have Scot blood. Wahey!!!!❤

These musicians have an integrated spiritual link that I suspect they do not quite get! The interrelation of their instruments is one of the most impressive musical collectives I have ever heard of Celtic folk-rock. The start prose is and what then follows, a kindly a steer to those in busy lives' suffering work-a- day-stress.

Scottish music should use the Bodhran, not drum sets.
@craigramsay535 жыл бұрын
Two entirely different purposes. There are tunes, styles, and arrangements in which snares, tenors, and bass drums would be out of place, just as there are those in which a bodhrán simply won't cut it. Trust me on this-- we've been doing it this way for a couple hundred years.
