You are a master mutli-tasker! Filming, eating, sketching coloring, and communing with family 😄❤ When I watch you draw, it always brings back the all-consuming fascination I had as a kid when I would watch my mom's boyfriend start with a blank page and 2 hours later, it was a detail beautiful drawing. I wouldn't look away or budge from his side, too afraid to miss any part of his work 😊 You bring back my childhood Jess, and all the wonder that came with it! ❤ Thank you, with all my heart, for sharing your art with the world. so jess karp, i would totally get at the color, get color samples and forget the actual cups and tableware, but the first thing that sticks out is the arrangement for food and the color, plus the drink bubble action. But i get it laying out the outline sketch . nice imagery.

you feel the colours, it engulfs you like the food a quick glance of everything color, like a short dream tantalising and inviting ready to be eaten. then you look closer and its like mmmmm mmm good

I just finished John Truby’s Anatomy of Story & am currently into Anatomy of Genre & the point you make about finding a foothold before going complex applies to writing as well as drawing. Side note, I have been enjoying Philip Glass & The Minimalism Playlist over on Apple Classical. This probably speaks to Betty Edwards’ point of looking for the intertextual connections across all artforms.
