Oooo the Bryce Canyon landscape is beautiful! And I gasped when you flipped by that John Singer Sargent study! Lanterns🤍🤍🤍

I love that you aren’t afraid to use neons in your art. I am so intimidated by bright and bold colours. …Do I dare do a highlighter challenge? 🤔
@Karissabrielle7 ай бұрын
Absolutely! I never used to use them but they’ve become some of my favorite colors to use!

I never really used markers before but I started doodling at work and all I had were highlighters and it’s actually helped me be more creative since I’m so limited and learning to improvise with what I have. The sharpie branded ones are not too bad either, I think it’s worth playing around with!

Love your art, even the stuff you didn't like was nice. For your oil pastels, if you don't mind a bit of like shine, try waiting a day then brushing on some mod podge lightly. I usually do a couple layers. ETA: That study you did of Sargent's work was amazing!

When you do an underpainting under gouache, is that regular gouache as well? Or acrylic gouache? I plan to try that, but wonder if the underlayer will be picked up.
@Karissabrielle6 ай бұрын
It depends on the detail I’m going for in a painting. If its very loose I will use regular gouache for the underpainting but if it’s more structured I’ll use acryl gouache under

Hi, I love your sketchbook! If you want help in photoshop to bring out that neon colour in your scan, I'd be happy to help :) I've got photoshop and it wouldn't take long to do.

Why not take a photo under natural light of the painting to capture the neon? And then crop it on Photoshop
