Hello Clare, lovely video and I’m glad I’m not the only one that dips my brush into my tea, I do it all the time when I’m colouring my cottages. xx

Thank you Diann for watching. It’s not the first time I’ve dipped my brush into my tea! 😂 Easily done I guess. 🙏💜

Very nice video! The black pencil sketch reminded me of last week while I was at the chemist's and I had the impulse to buy an eyebrow pencil to draw on my sketchbook! 🤭🤭I don't know if I'm the only one who has done this and if the material will decay with time but I had fun experimenting with it 😆😁 Thank you for sharing

😂 Thank you Carla - thinking outside the box and having fun is what a sketchbook is all about - never tried an eyebrow pencil but why not! 😂 Thank you for watching 🙏💜

Thank you for another relaxing and informative video! I had no idea you could use the Inktense pencils like a watercolour wash. 🤯 Audrey was adorably patient while you were sketching💜

Thank you Patricia, Audrey is sooo patient 😆 I’m not sure using a ceramic plate was a good idea as the Inktense pencils stain a little bit. Putting the colour down on a scrap piece of paper may work better. I will try with the disposable easel papers next. 🙏💜

I love the landscapes in England. Thanks so much for sharing. I did want to share my experience with Intense pencils. I use a lot of watercolor pencils, including Intense. I have also recently started using Neocolor II wax pastels. One of the things I have found invaluable is the Caran D'Ache palette. I works great with all types of pencils, including graphite. It has a rough side and a smooth side. The rough side has just enough texture to grab the pigment when you color on it. You can then use a wet brush or water pen to pick up the pigment. I use it extensively to mix colors in the field when I have a more limited palette of colors. The only complaint I have seen from others is the staining. I have been able to remove stains be using a Mr Clean Magic eraser or even a plastic eraser.

Thank you Phyllis - I have the Caran D’Ache palette on my wish list so after reading your wonderful advice, I think I will get it. I am really enjoying my Inktense pencils and gradually adding more colours - I haven’t used them plein air yet so maybe I need to be braver. Thank you for your lovely comment. 🙏💜

The place where you went to sketch is so green and beautiful, and Audrey is so adorable! It's so nice that you take her with you, and she gets to run off leash. I like how you did your basic sketch outside and then finished indoors with the color and different types of pencils. About the Derwent Inktense - another artist here on YT uses a paper palette to wet the Derwent Inktense pencil marks. He cautioned that wetting the tips of the pencils may wear them down faster, but I hope that's not the case! He's another UK artist - @AlexBoonArt 💚

Thank you Cynthia - I have a paper tear off palette pad so will certainly follow Alex’s advice - I’ll post an update over the weekend on the community page to let you know how I get on. Audrey is my loyal companion and accompanies me on all my plein air outings. ☺️💜

Hi ! I learned that if you rough up the plastic with a sanding tool the pencil will break up on the surface and then add water to make the color
