I am a sole practitioner architect, domestic residential, using SketchUp Pro 2024 on PC. I've worked my way through your video on creating terrain from pdf contours using native Sandbox tools. I can see that Toposhaper is a superior extension, have downloaded LibFredo6_v14.5f - it appears on the Extensions menu as Enabled - but - i can't "operate" it, can't get to any of it's applications - do you have a video covering thsi situation?

Not really my area, but usually there are site surveys done. Sometimes if it's a developed area there are as-builts from the contractor?

If importing from Autocad, then check if there is a Z value (elevation) assigned to them . If it is 0, then all lines will come flat on ground- in that case you will have to move all line individually

topo shaper doesn't seem to download for me (using SU20 on windows) In preferences there is no extensions option to do the second step to install, I have already installed fredo, weird

Justin, Great video. Having trouble getting contour elevations to to be a 1' interval. The contours elevations are at odd elevations like 99.87, 98.87 etc. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Hey Justin can you tell me how i can draw hatching pattern in my sections.. Sketchup only have fill option in style tray.. I also watched your video on this where you talk about watermark trick or going manually. I also tried add section cut face and rich section.. But i think sketchup must have a option in style tray fill option to apply whatever texture you want to apply on cut.. Or put it directly with paint bucket after group edit.. Give me some advice because i have to make architectural drawing in layout but can't get section hatch.

Awesome video! Thanks! I have a quick question. I am trying to create a topo surface but in my point cloud there are many items on the ground up next to the building where I am trying to capture. Is there a sercret or work around to where I can get say a straight line at the building to help in creating the topo surface. I have tried many ways and can't seem to get what I need. Tim

Can't you just delete the points where your building would be before creating your surface?

Justin, I've been watching your videos since I found sketchup, and they're great, however I have Microsoft Edge for a browser, and I don't have a "toolbar". how is yours setup with a tool bar? I've tried using IE, but a Sketchup error window pops up and says it won't run on IE. Please help.

Sounds like you might be using the free online version - most of my tutorials are for the desktop version
