I think the windows are 3' x 5' or thereabouts ...just bring in a model of whatever you like from the Warehouse!

someone can help me??I'm getting stucked to import my file from autocad to skechup because according the instructions from the video the images in my screen are appearing differently so I can't find the options shown through the video which are not exctly to what I see on my screen.I'm using autocad 2020 and sketchup 2017.
@ProfDrafting4 жыл бұрын
You need SketchUp Pro. Also, you can't import AutoCAD 2020 into an earlier version of SketchUp. You need to save it as an AutoCAD 2016 or earlier file.

Hey! New to sketchup. please enlighten me on how to trace the walls. when i tried to trace with the line tool it aint getting traced as it is shown in the video. please do help.
@aleksandrajakimova86563 жыл бұрын
You can also use the rectangle command, or with a line but draw like triangles it will fill up the surface

its important info. but how you applied windows or door sizes
@ProfDrafting9 жыл бұрын
Hi Akshay, I just went with the sizes that are on the floor plan. It really isn't that important; you can bring in any window model you want from the Warehouse and use it.

so, how can we import multi-story building plans?
@ProfDrafting7 жыл бұрын
You need to bring each plan in separately, model them, and then assemble.
@amirrh117 жыл бұрын
thanks, can you make a video for it please?

Everytime i do importing cad file floor plan. Its always too far from the space and im struggling when i zoom it. Anyone who could help me? :-( Thank you so much.
@ProfDrafting4 жыл бұрын
When you import, click on Options before importing. Uncheck "Preserve drawing origin." That will place your imported AutoCAD file at SketchUp's origin.

I must say that I like the lip smacking! I don't know how or why, but it just makes me feel more concentrated. Please don't get rid of those sounds! I'm sure a lot of people feel the same. Btw, it was my 1st time importing from autocad, your video helped me a lot, thanks!

@@andrefalando I got to admit, maybe I'm just a weirdo, but there's a soothing ASMR element to her voice and lip smacking.
