Have been playing about with the bathtub thing. Managed to get a fair looking model, using just native tools. And: WELD. Great tip from early in the video, weld your lines to keep the transitions smooth. A revelation ! Made everything so much cleaner and easier to manipulate. Thank you.

Aaron, there is something that I like a lot about this tutorial, and it is that some times I struggle as much as you do it here and I thought it is just me not understanding well SketchUp, but I guess this friendly program does not discriminate :-) Anyway thank you, your tutorials are always great!!!!! Under what name in the 3D Warehouse do we find these fixtures?

3:31:59 Me too! My transparent yellow - or yellow glass - has somehow turned transparent turquoise. I don't know how it happened and it won't let me switch it back. This is the stock color!

It may happen anyway, but it would be very useful for these live events to be used as a basis for much shorter tutorials. You can learn something useful by watching the live streams later but you need a lot of time on your hands to do it.

That is some _gorgeous_ toilet, A! LOL Much prettier than mine! I gotta learn how to use Vertex Tools! 3:17:32 Flooring! Ugh! Is there anything you can do to improve the choices about vinyl flooring? I hate wood and tile! I just want some of that old fashioned fake granite-lookin'-like stuff. There is no way I would ever want actual tile in my house. It's too high-maintenance! I can't even find anything good on external texture sites! Anyhoo - Great model. Even with all the jinxing! You are so patient and humble. It's a joy to watch you work. 😊 I hope you're considering doing the Anti-Kythera Device. It's totally fascinating!!

I know this is an old vid, but how does one make the inside walls transparent?

Aaron, Kohler has models online. Not a nice as yours but not so bad if you soften edges. Or it could be used as a starting point.

Seen as though I'm an industrial kinda guy, I think it would be interesting to see some industrial models that could be part of manufacturing site layouts or plans. Forklift trucks, pallet trucks, plant vehicles or maybe even some production machinery.

do not waste your time on sketchup, the program is not parametric, do not waste your time, each modification will kill you, I know because I did it

I’ve been using SketchUp for maybe 8 years and have done some incredible things with it. I’m very happy with it for my usage of many projects. Many of my projects are not required to be parametric but for those kind of things there are always Dynamic Components I suppose. There are also some great third party plugins that might do that too, not sure. I find it an incredible tool for the price range and the simplicity it offers as a base program.

@@ianthorley8272 I use it longer and I have enough, I design furniture to size and I often have to change everything because the walls have changed the client has a different idea and I sometimes change one design 10 times and more fusion or inventor, it's simple, I change the parameters and it's ready. is making details, extracting them from 3D is the biggest problem, if you are not in the furniture industry you do not even realize how complex it is

@Leo Vlad I saw what you saw. It's not flickering. It's giggling. Weird. I've never seen that happen in SU. Are you sure this video was made with SU?

Make and model of your 3d mouse and how's it working out for you? Do you like it and have you used others?

I have a 3Dconnexion "Space Navigator." It is not as fancy or bulky as his, but I love the fact that I can pan, zoom, rotate without having to remove my hand from other mouse. Logitech owns the company now. I'm not sure where they are going with their products. Good luck.

My view of the video in 2022, the audiovideo is horribly out of sync by maybe 10 seconds which make Aaron's instructions very difficult to follow.

Dude, try to make your videos(tutorials) shorter and more understandable(easier) in order the steps your are doing otherwise its going to be boring all the 4 hour you are trying to explain. It could be a chance to be more "successful".
