That just saved me a chunk of time with each project. Funny how you never even think to look for a solution to things when there are solutions out there to be had.

There is also an option for exporting pngs with transparent background. Maybe this is enough for some people.

So what your saying then is an inverse mask can also be had by making the background white and objects black, for importing into Photoshop as a layer mask? I assume the image is exported a jpg or tiff? I’m on my way to a see a client so I can’t try it at the moment.

Well, I had not much idea what this was about other than something to do with scenes, which I'm starting to use more and more. As usual these "sandwich videos" (watch em while you eat a sandwich for lunch - LOL) always seem to provide a nice little bite of info and often lead to more questions and understanding. At 5:07 when you save the scene, you get the dialog to create new, update, or do nothing. This is always very confusing to me. My understanding of the relationship between scenes and style is poor, and I don't understand what the effects of these choices are: Like where is it going to put the "new" style. What is going to get weird somewhere else if I update?, and "do nothing" really is a mystery. I'm sure this is all very carefully thought out and thoroughly explained somewhere. Maybe a link to where that is or, if not, a new video???

I operate a cabinet shop and I use Sketchup with cab32 extension to produce shop drawings, but Ifind it difficult to get a white background and a blueprint, drafting look. I do the parallel n=view which is great but I don't know how to manipulate the background in the scenes and then save it and give it a name. Maybe you can make a video on this.

There's an extension called CompoScene, which does practically the same thing but you need to pay for it ))
