I could already tell him coming out of the tunnel passing those people on the Pic Blanc before going down Tunnel (slope) that he was not in control. No consistent shorter turns to control speed. His speed kept building up, bouncing over the moguls being more and more out of control and then of course crash. And Everyone can go fast, but going fast and be in control, that’s another story. 😄 Tunnel was even in a pretty good shape, no knee deep moguls. But yes like someone already mentioned, he did post his crash we have to give him that. Keep practicing 😉

Yea I had a ski trip borderline ruined because someone in the basic group was fast and my teacher mistook fast for good and the advance group was stuck following someone who could barely pizza

nah there's time where the vibe just hits right and you full send knowing damn well if the slightest wrong happens you're lowkey oom. Have done that skiing (infierno-formigal-spain with shit snow- 120kph where if i found even a tiny bit of rock (likely) i would probably break a knee, in my motorcycle (if anything bad happened i could not brake hard enough to fix it) and in my shitbox volvo. mood just has to hit right.

The skiing was okay but I'm mostly impressed by how fast you got your skis back on. Always takes me forever to get them back on mid-slope, although that looked like an okay spot. My bindings are tight enough that they rarely pop off though so I figure I just don't get much practice.

@@BRo-it1jh Depends from how steep is your slope. On very steep one it is not possible cause your downhill ski is only on inner edge and it twists when you try to step in. It is better to use your downhill leg to stand on it strong, step in upper ski, make kick turn and here you are.

@@wildylupous thats one possibility. In this case I like to stand below both of my skis, cross my lower leg above the upper leg and step into the lower ski. If it's really really steep you can additionally hold your ski with your hands. After that I can easily step into the upper ski :)

He was impatient and rude I've been skiing for 30 years and I can tell you that I don't need a ski a tunnel to know proper ski etiquette. I've been around in the mountain, and I've seen people like this. They usually are the ones who look like dopes falling on their asses. Case in point, this man.

You have the right to ski as fast as you like and the fall was an accident waiting to happen. You do not have right to charge past other skiers endangering their lives through reckless speed. If as you say you spend so much time in the mountains you should be aware of sking etiquette and if any of those you hurtled past had made an unexpected turn there's no way you could have stopped so you are skiing out of control #simples

That must be one of the longest ski tunnels. Impressive they got all that snow in there. Anyway not a major wipeout. Easy to do in cruddy snow. Pain having to hike up to get the ski though. At least it wasn't buried somewhere :)

Not bad at all ! despite the fall ... You were lucky the snow was cool and few bumps. You would have hurt yourself otherwise ... Look at the rocks under your skis, where you took off ... You probably were not bent enough on the front of your legs (too much behind?), So you probably crossed your skis, became uncontrollable or lost the balance for the same reason. The main mistake you made (in my opinion), is not to mark a stop at the end of the tunnel, to focus on the wall, even for a minute (and also take a new breath ). Good ski level for ... an english :-)

Take no notice of people claiming you cut someone off. I see nothing of the sort. In my opinion, bumps have been "health and safetied" since the 1990's. You can't "have fun" any more. For instance, on Mont Fort, they were like a thousand mini cliff faces, 2-4m high back in the "good old days" (when skis were crap, and much much longer btw...) :-)
