Ski Doo Grip & Heater Replacement Made Easy

Today is just a short video on how to replace the grip and heater on a Ski Doo snowmobile. The basics of this video will work for most other snowmobiles as well.

I am on the struggle bus trying to remove the old pins from the harness block! I can’t find anyone showing it comprehensively

So the easiest way to explain it is from the front side of the plug you have to remove the middle white cap that covers the pins then there are little tangs that lock the pins in their respective hole. If you take a headlamp and a tiny jewelers flat head screwdriver you can carefully pry the tangs away from the pins and slide the pins out. I’ll try and find a video showing it.

The link to the connector vid is nice but is not the same as what is on a GEN4 Summit X 850. At least mine

I found this vid to be helpful. More so then the generic connector vid. This is ‘similar’ to the plug on my 18 G4 Summit X. They show a 6 plug. Mine is a 4 plug. Hope this helps people. It confirmed the direction i was headed.
