Did you clean the bearings out or just put new grease in them? Is there an upgraded bushing available that runs next to the bearing?
@SteveMartin129 ай бұрын
I clean as needed. This one wasn’t too dirty. We’ve seen some bad ones this year though

Nice vid Bud. The "fixture" shaft is threaded to take a 1/2" tap bolt to use with the spring compressor cup. 🤩 i can send you one.

I'll keep my trusty TRA, thank you very much.

If you run a pdrive, your TRA will end up collecting dust. The sky is the limit as far as tuning with the pdrive.

Why is the water trick bad can you elaborate on that please?
@SteveMartin1211 ай бұрын
Some people tip the sled on the side, remove the clutch bolt, and then trickle water into the end of the crank, then thread tape the bolt and use hydraulic pressure to pop the clutch off the taper, but then you would need the puller to separate the clutch for disassembly.
@justforlaughs898811 ай бұрын
@@SteveMartin12 yea I've used that trick a couple times just didnt know if it was bad for it at all and sounded like you might of known a reason for not doing that to take the clutch off

There's no substitution for having the proper tools.. BRP has the best selection bar none of specifically designed tools in the industry and they make the work so much easier.. and fun .

if there are any imperfections or cracks the water can create psi in them causing more issues.

Nice informative video but unless there was an issue or you’re really bored on a Friday night I just don’t see a reason to completely disassemble a perfectly good clutch with only 1200 miles on it🤷🏻♂️
