This video sold more '97 models than any dealership salesman ever could have. I picked this video up on VHS in the spring of '96 at a local snowmobile show, when I was in the market to upgrade from my '91 Formula Plus. I watched it so many times, I literally wore it out. Spit the tape right out of my VHS player. lol When I plopped down the cash for my '97 Mach 1 700, my only condition was that upon delivery, they throw in another copy of that tape. Man...here were are 28-years later...and I still wish I had both those snowmobiles.

I don't care what anybody says these Era snowmobiles were the best looking. Yeah the new ones might be faster, lighter, and more advanced but you can't tell the difference between anyone brand from the next. They all look the same.

Seen this a hundred times. My first brand new sled was a 97 MXZ 583. Twenty seven years ago. 😳🤦♂️🤷🏻♂️ Loved that sled. Still have the coffee mug Doo sent me. Too bad they do not do that stuff anymore.

I had the purple screamer, 600 triple triple. Loved that sled. I used to smoke my buddy on his 700 Wildcat consistently. He go so mad he went out and bought a Thunder Cat. Ran like a top. Had so much fun on that thing. Big difference from my 22’ Renegade X 850 ! BRP all the way. ✌️

It's amazing how far we have come since then. Those machines would get stuck so easy compared to today. It's challenging to find a spot to get them stuck now.

Ah 1997, when you didn't need to check the weather or trail conditions. There was always deep snow. Or wonder if you should cross the lake if ice was thick enough. The winter weather back then was night and day compared with our warm winters and limited riding area in upstate ny now.
@alfrede.neuman861123 күн бұрын
Not only that, but the cost of a trail pass now is more than the snowmobile insurance. Not sure where you're from, but I vaguely remember a trail pass in Ontario, CA in ''97 being in the $60-80 range. Now they're over $300....and trails are closing (if even opened at all) left right and center.

Nothing like the era of the triple triples! Take me back. The MachZ with the 900 Turbo R 4 Stroke comes with the weight of an anchor and unnecessary complexity of the turbo and associated electronic controls.

i had 4 stroke snowmobile didnt care for it to much i like 2 stroke snowmobiles to much . i feel like 4 stroke sleds sound like to much like motorcycle to me , and 4 stroke sleds are more heavier sleds then 2 stroke

My dude, I've seen SRX 700's with their original engines and 20,000-miles on the clock. I've never seen anything short of a 4-stroke, with any number of cylinders touch mileage like that.

Was just kinda taking off. Ski Doo pretty much started the craze in the mid-90's with their Summit Models. Which in the beginning, were really just stripped down, glorified long track version of their other big twins and triple sleds. lol
