Welcome to the 17th episode, where we travel around official photo spots of the Grand Tour of Switzerland. In this episode, we will visit Hospental, the village on the crossroad to two outstanding mountain passes - Furka and Gotthard.

Grand Tour of Switzerland is the best alpine road trip in the world, which will take you on a 1600 km long scenic road, from lakes surrounded by palms across amazing mountain passes and glaciers to rustic mountain villages. You will visit the most beautiful places in Switzerland. There are officially 70+ photo spots along the trip, marked with an iconic stand.

So much snow there! Here we've had only 3 times snow this winter. But the temperatures are high as in the Spring most of the time. So the trees start blooming early, then the frost comes and we don't have any fruits... It's so good to see there is still a proper Winter in Switzerland.

Unfortunately, the snow is here only in the higher elevations, but it is beautiful that you can go up and see and enjoy it. In the lower areas, like in Zürich, it will be 13 degrees this week... 🫠 In that Oberalppass area, there is commonly up to three/four meters of snow every winter, but this year, it is "only" 160 cm. But I still hope to capture a few more winter/snowy moments this year... Wish you a wonderful evening, my friend! ✨🙋🏻‍♂️

Thanks! ✨ We still have snow around ☃️, but only in the higher elevations, as it is unusually warm winter. Regarding the logo, I asked the MySwitzerland office if I could use it, but I did the animation myself using a 3d template in the mO2 animation plugin in Final Cut Pro, which I use for my editing. What do you use for editing your videos?

I also use fcp. But I,m not so experienced in working with it, as I am using it since I bought my drone, a half year ago.

It's such a shame that practically only new trains go up to the Oberalp Pass - you can no longer film out of the window :(
