Down through the years we've experimented with different props High Performance Engine Parts the boats made to pull a water skier. Mine did a pretty damn good job of pulling Barefoot skiers what more do you want? This is just something fun to do I'm sure. My neighbor bought his nautique on Saturday I purchase mine on Sunday so the dealer had two sales back to back tell me he wasn't smiling. Neighbors was just a mile an hour maybe two faster always kind of got to me lol same engine same boat. I just love those boats all of them. My nephew just bought a paragon I am so jealous I'm also really old.

Correct Craft first started in Pine castle Florida in 1925 as the Florida variety Boat company. Then in 1936 they changed the name to Correct Craft, Leo Bentz came to the company with his idea of a fiberglass ski boat in 1957, he was turned down then he came back again in 1961 and the company agreed. Correct Craft changed the name to Nautique in around the time Leo Bentz came into the picture with his ideas. Correct Craft/Nautique is way ahead from MC in quality and innovations.

I have a 98 gt40 ski nautique i love it.

I have 1300 hours on the older 1997 GT40. It's even faster now check out the race with the 2002 ski also with a GT40. BLEW it out of the water.

The boats are great though I don’t get the race. Either boat could change the prop and “win.” Speed is not the point of these boats. Faster than 42(ish) and you likely need a different prop.

correct craft makes nautiques so how can it be a better boat.....and really the list goes correct craft # 1 everything else who cares its not a correct craft.
