Hahahaha “…force everyone to listen to Limp Bizkit and Kid Rock”! Solid information. I’ve been snowboarding since 1995, and this is my going to be my first season splitboarding and touring anything other than slackcountry. Lots of good info here for all backcountry seekers.

Super informative. Thank you. A ton of bad info out there on the interwebs, this video was very helpful with my plan to get into backcountry splitboarding in the next couple years. Need to have my gear right and get my classes. I don't want to waste money buying the wrong gear. I think ya'll convinced me I need to look at hard boots and get fitted.

This is a great video, I have been on the slopes and back bowls of Colorado for years and now that my gear is wearing out. I was looking for a new challenge that gives back with the idea of mountain rescue volunteering in mind. Not long ago, I went up an area that had serious Av damage from season previous. We went early season with minimal base yet full kit a friend and their gear. And me with borrowed kit and my beater board/snow shoes all sad next to the deluxe set up. And yet the Type II fun was legit, it lit the fire that this video has certainly stoked. Thanks for making it! Be good to see you guys in a room together with maybe some demo in mind, not sure what that looks like for you, but dig the content so far!

thanks for sharing this info! what capacity size/liters do you recommend for a pack? how much weight do you recommend? do you ever use an airbag for mountaineering objectives?
