Access to the beaches is quite tricky as everybody in Skiathos has built his/her home exactly on the sea front, next to his neighbor, without leaving my space in between for others to reach the beach. A second negative thing I noticed, is that the roads are only for cars! I mean, there is no pavement!!! You cannot walk in Skiathos, unless you want to be INSIDE the asphalt road, with the cars…. It is societies like this one, I.e. selfish, who don’t care about the public good (public space in this case), that produce great minds (as a counterweight to locals’ in-civility: of course I a m talking about Papadiamantis
