There are a couple of artists that do that nowadays, say Starset (Diving Bell for example) and Gojira (Stranded, rly all of their songs though), the problem is that the artists who create lyrics about .. non-mainstream topics if u will, are overrun by the shitty commercial marketing mumble rap where they probably write out the lyrics while taking a shit and everyone starts listening to them cuz it's cool. People don't even know why they listen to that music if you ask them. I have no problem with pop as it's very diverse and computerised sounds aren't that much a problem either (listen to Starset for example they mix metal elements with orchestra with EDM).
