I converted my B3200 LA504 loader to SSQA using a Kubota bracket and then had to buy a weld on plate for the original bucket. This was a great investment, and allows be to run a grapple. I can't imagine not having this on a newer model. Great video as always Neil!

Coming from someone who runs heavy construction equipment everyday it was taught to me to always check to make sure your bucket or attachment is properly on and what we do is driving to the attachment pick it up and curl the attachment all the way back and shake it a little bit and then lock your pins then place the attachment on the ground and put weight on the attachment that make sure that it's properly locked

Just spoke with my dealer and after 8 months of owning my BX, I'm still waiting on my mid-mount mower LOL. Ugg...mowing season is coming, up pretty fast. The SSQA is really a must have, even if you don't plan on taking the bucket off much, it'll help in resell value later on. I just have the bucket and pallet forks for my BX, not much else to really put on a sub-compact that isn't going to break things. Most of my work is ground type work, so box blade, roto-tiller, and hopefully soon a rear grading blade.

I found on my BX23S that the bucket didn't always line up correctly and the pins wouldn't seat properly when putting it back on, even when the debris had been cleared away. So what I end up doing is lifting the bucket up, getting off the tractor and pulling the bottom if the bucket out, and swinging it back towards the coupler. This aligns the bucket properly and the pins will push down into place.

Great video - any chance of getting a similar video on the coupler(s) used by the Kubota SCL1000 and the mini excavators? BTW is there any reason that subcompacts couldn't/don't use the same CII coupler as the SCL1000? The implements used on stand-on compact loaders would seem much more appropriately sized to sub-compact tractors.

I just got a new 3902 HST with the LA526 loader and I’m not sure why but I have to fight getting the QA bucket back on the tractor. Doesn’t fall into place like my old 2501 LA525 loader QA. It’s hooked at the top good and square and don’t see anything obstructing the fitment but I always have to swing the bottom of the bucket out and let it sort of slam against the loader QA to seat in place! Was hope it just needed to wear in a little bit and it would get better! I only have 8 hrs on the tractor. I guess I’ll have to look closer at it at some point and see why the problem is if it doesn’t get better on its own soon!

For me, it was switching from my snow pusher to my bucket to move around snow and ice. Well unbeknownst to me, the bucket was seated properly but the pin did not lock on one side due to ice in that section of my bucket. Before using the bucket, tested it, yanked on it by hand, the whole thing to be confident that it was safe to use. Alas, it wasn’t and off came the bucket on one side. Fortunately, I had the load about 6” from the ground and no apparent damage. Never made that mistake again. Even when everything looks good, is tested, it can still go wrong.

Another one to look out for is the pin getting rotated around and it won't engage with the lever. Depending on your current coffee content, you might stare at it a bit before you see the angled pin is backwards. This happens once or 2x a year on my B2601.

does it add weight, reducing the amount of material you can pick up in comparison to pin ons?
@Aliceintraining2 жыл бұрын
SSQA does slightly reduce the max lifting because of its extra weight compared to pin ons. however the difference is not something that you will really notice, especially in the size of work you do on anything at the SSQA size, its really only when you get to proper front loaders like a jcb 407 or equivalent where the difference really is notable.

Unfortunately there are those of us who bought before the whole SSQA craze existed. So now we have our pin on attachments. What I find amazing is that if I invest in a SSQA adapter for my loader, I then have to destroy the pin on attachments by welding on an adapter plate. Let's be honest, the dimensions of the loader arms and hydraulics are pretty fixed for the machine in question. So why can't the adapter plates be made with pin on hubs on one side and SSQA on the other so that if a person wants to eventually sell an attachment the pin on option still exists as well as the SSQA. I have thought about converting my BX, but do I want to cut and weld my attachments....NO. Maybe you know someone who makes the adapter plate I mention, but thus far I have not found them.
@paullambert26682 жыл бұрын
You can get a pin on quick attach. I have one for my B2601 (SSQA is not a thing in NZ). The quick attach fitting only goes on the tractor, it uses the existing pins on your implements (on my bucket and on my forks). It's not as good as SSQA in some ways - more fiddly on and off, but it definitely is an improvement on banging pins in and out, and it doesn't rob quite as much capacity as SSQA does. And no welding/modifying your implements.
@davidmartin76602 жыл бұрын
@@paullambert2668 thanks Paul. I realize you can get the tractor outfitted. It’s the actual attachment that has to be cut up to make it SSQA comparable that is frustrating. Why can’t the adapter plates be made with pin on hubs rather than cutting and welding?
@paullambert26682 жыл бұрын
@@davidmartin7660 I think you're misunderstanding. If you go with the pin-on style quick attach the implements don't need any modification at all. But if you want the SSQA style, then yes you need to modify the attachments. Making a pin-on SSQA plate would further add weight and push the attachments further forward. I also suspect it wouldn't be as strong.
@NoName-ml5yk2 жыл бұрын
Just buy/weld the pin brackets onto the SSQA implement plates? The SSQA conversion plates are flat on the implement side so seems like an easy job. Or if you have a lot of implements make them yourself and save a fortune.

Unless you're strictly working crops, why would anyone buy a Tractor? Skidsteers are so much stronger, faster working and, given the scores of available quick attachments, much more versatile - and all at a similar price to a 35HP tractor TLB compared to a Wheeled skidsteer. After using a tracked Kubota skidsteer (or Wheeled skidsteer with Over Tire Tracks - if cost or ground speed is a deciding issue), you'll look back on your use of a tractor as a rather silly waste of time.
@MessicksEquip2 жыл бұрын
So there will be several reasons. Your cost comparison is not really correct. You're including several implements on the tractor, but not on the skid steer. Many people don't want skid steers because of the turf damage they cause. The implements overall are significantly more expensive on the skid. We sell a lot of skids, but it's a different animal.

I was going to make a smart ass comment because I think your completely wrong, but something just occurred to me, and it is an honest question. Do skid steers have rear PTO’s?
