1. Congrats on realizing what you want. 2. Know it's not easy - but it can be fun and rewarding if your mind's right. 3. You need time. Make sure you put out time in your day to actually writing. 4. Find a beat (instrumental) that you vibe with. 5. Start throwing out different words, melodies, flows, until you feel like you caught something. 6. Then think more critically and start writing complete sentences that make sense, that rhyme, that have meaning, wordplay etc. (this isn't easy and will come with experience). 7. Buy a studio microphone, if it's your first time just buy something that's USB powered, you don't need anything fancy or expensive (XLR can come later). 8. Have any form of recording software, mixcraft, audacity, pro tools, adobe audition, literally anything that's free or accessible to you. 9. Make sure you're in a quiet room with no background noise and try to record your first track. 10. Don't worry too much about mixing, mastering, editing just yet...get comfortable with the recording process and finding your style. Then down the line you can watch youtube videos on how to edit rap vocals in whatever software you end up using. Repeat process 4 through 9 for 5 years straight and consistently and you'll become a straight beast. You can thank me later.
