Im looking to replace my Bent Chetlers 100. And its the justis, serpo or enforcers im looking in to. Im searching for something more powerful and stable att higher speeds. What are the biggest differences from the Serpo and Justice? Or just be mainstream and go with the enforcers. Also the lenght, from my experiences my confidence increase on a longer skii. I’m 5’11 and upper intermediate level, 82kgs athletic . Do you think 183cm on the Justis Will be ok or to much? Keep up the good work! Wish there was a community like this for Sweden.
@SkiEssentials Жыл бұрын
The ski community knows no borders! that's the beauty of the internet! The Justis is awesome. It's not as quick from edge to edge as the Serpo, but it's considerably more stable at higher speeds and in softer snow. I'd say the 177 is a better length in the Justis for your stats unless you know you prefer longer skis.

I am 182cm, 88kg. Strong intermediate in mid 40s in PNW. Owned an Enforcer 100 177cm for six years. Loved it. Demoed 104 Free. Loved it and bought a pair of 172cm for maneuverability and touring (haven’t mounted yet). Recently bought a pair of Justis 183cm with Marker EPF 13 binding (which probably affects the flex and swing weight). Justis in 183cm feels long but not too long. Carves a little bit better than Enforcer 100. Slightly quicker edge-to-edge. Justis is as chargy and stable as Enforcer, if not chargier and stabler. In trees, the 183cm Justis did OK. The 5-6cm difference from 172cm to 177cm to 183cm is more noticeable in the trees than on the open slopes. Since I already have an 172cm Enforcer 104 Free, I feel I have made a good choice with the 183cm Justis. If I can only have one, I will probably pick the 177cm Justis.

I’d consider myself an advanced skier, was looking at the QST 98 but heard you mention that advanced skiers could take advance of the Justis more, could you expand on that?
@SkiEssentials7 ай бұрын
The Justis has a higher ceiling in terms of performance. It's stiffer, stouter, and smoother at speed. That said, the QST 98 is floatier and easier to maneuver, so they do have a different application here. If you're a good enough skier to max out the QST 98 and feel like you need something more, the Justis takes the performance to the next level. There's a gap between the top end of the 98 and that of the Justis.

Nice review. What size would you recommend for the Justice. How will the ski behave differently. I‘m 6‘1 high and my weight is 161 pounds. Thanks for your help
@SkiEssentials11 ай бұрын
I'd say between the 177 and the 183 based on your stats. In the 183, there's just more to wrangle, so it does take more effort to get it to turn sharper and more crisply. The 177 is more mobile and that could be construed as being more versatile since you can make shorter turns in more technical zones like trees and bumps. You'll miss out on some stability, but that's all part of the balance of life.

I’m out west and have a dedicated powder ski (ON3P 118 mm) and a Jskis hotshot for everything else (106 mm waist). I’m thinking of getting a charger that can handle a variety of conditions. My first “modern” ski was a line prophet 100 from back around 2009 ish. The prophet had h-shaped metal as well. Did you ski on the prophet? If so, how do you think the Justis compares? If not, do you think this would be a good fit to fill in my quiver? Was thinking about bonafide, mantra, or enforcer. The justis has me intrigued. Thanks!
@SkiEssentials3 ай бұрын
The Justis is one of my favorite all-time skis, so if you're looking for a biased recommendation, you're going to get one! It's one of the best turning skis out there at the 100 mm range and has enough rocker and taper to make it handle adverse conditions and terrain as well. There's just something about it that makes it feel like a much more capable ski than the other three on your list, although the new Enforcer 99 is also right there.

Hi Jeff... love your reviews, as always.. how does this compare with the Nordica 104 Free?... am early 60's, athletic skier out West.. thanks!!
@SkiEssentials Жыл бұрын
There's some more energy to the Justis. The Enforcer is great, but feels more planted. If you like that type of stability, it's tough to argue against the 104, but if you're looking for a bit more pop and liveliness, the Justis is about as rewarding and satisfying as it gets.

Looking for a replacement for my 10 yr old bonafides (groomer/ glade ski), but I currently daily drive my bc Corvus free birds (shift bindings). Amazing skis for what they were made for. Ex GS skier so I out ski the Corvus, and I love it for touring and bowl skiing (Snowmass/ highlands/ aspen). On days I’m skiing with the family I just want something new, does the justice fit the profile of crud buster, carving champ, mogul steep double diamond ski? I could just buy new bonifides, or the new equivalent, but sometimes green Gatorade gets old. I want blue Gatorade, is this it?

Between this and the Rustler 10 - help me figure it out!! This one seems to charge harder and stay composed at higher speeds but the Rustler feels more ~balanced~ across the board. Does the Rustler ski short? Their 186 is a bit longer than I normally go for but might work
@SkiEssentials11 ай бұрын
Justis is more powerful in a carved turn for sure while you are correct in the Rustler's more well-rounded character. If you're mixing terrain and snow conditions and don't want to work too hard to have fun and be playful, I'd go Rustler. We've found the Rustler skis pretty true to size while the Justis feels long.

Hi, I'm considering replacing my 24' nordica enforcer 94s with these, how much of a difference would it make? Or would it be worth it? I know my enforcers are stiff and heavy but pretty maneuverable(for me at least) and great for carving on hard pack, are these somewhat similar? I have 24' atris as my powder ski, would you consider justis and atris together a nice setup to have? Side note, I’d consider myself an advanced skier, having skied most of Colorado’s double blacks with no problem.
@SkiEssentials10 күн бұрын
They're similar in application in that they're both very strong carving skis that have off-trail versatility. The Justis is one of my favorites here, and it does complement the Atris nicely as they accomplish different things. The "worth" aspect is up to you.

I don't think the 183 is a stretch in tighter zones. You won't get the same across the fall line feel as the 177, but it's not a huge drop off.

I am eternally impressed with the Justis and its ability to turn. It feels like a much tighter arc than the stated 20. I wouldn't be put off by it at all.
@NibbleSnarph Жыл бұрын
I bought them last year from Ski Essentials and they are incredible! I'm 6'0 and 225lbs so my weight is definitely helping me bend them, but the 20M Radius is excellent for carving, and is not a detriment when doing flatter, shorter, slashier, turns because the short effective edge from the rockers is really noticeable. It makes for a very controllable ski with excellent edge release. Jeff nails it when he says this is a unique skiing experience!

@@TigerNash21 I went with the 178, I’m not sure if I made the right or wrong decision. I have a blast on them, but sometimes I wonder if the 183 would have been better for me. Asking for a bit of advice. I’m a relatively experienced skier, purchased a set of mirus cor at 176 (I’m 175cm tall). I spend most of my time at pace on piste but like to go off the side of runs occasionally and ski switch, would these suit as a ski alongside the mirus cor? hi do you think Justis can be a quiver for resort days and also some ski-tour? I would put on the Justis something like an ATK evo 15 to be good in the backcountry but also “safe” on piste. Or atris are better for what I do? (I generally ski the alps, Italy and Switzerland)
@SkiEssentials11 ай бұрын
I'd say Atris is a better choice for mixing resort and tour--the Justis excels in on-piste skiing so I'd worry about losing some of that intended performance by putting touring or hybrid gear on the ski.

@SkiEssentials11 ай бұрын
Both are total powerhouses, but the Bonafide takes it to the next level in terms of smoothness while the Justis is the crisper and cleaner carver of the two. It's also more versatile for softer snow due to the longer tail rocker. Justis is insanely fun and agile for the power it provides while the Bonafide is more aggressive and slightly more one-dimensional. Personally, I prefer the Justis, but the Bonafide is still awesome.

Justis is a lot more like the Free than the Unlimited due to the weight and stiffness. The Unlimited is lighter, driftier, and more floaty in the trees and mobile in tight areas. Justis is amazing. I feel that ski, as good as it is, gets left out of some very important discussions. I'd rather ski the Justis than the 104 Free because it's a crisper carver and has a lot of tail rocker to make it a lot of fun in softer snow as it's a smeary ski with metal and that's a rare combination.

Hi Jeff, just demo’d Justis in 183cm this weekend. Loved it, exactly what I need to be skiing. I’m 6’2” 210lb skilled/athletic skier, east coast based. Do you think it makes sense to consider the 189cm? 183cm felt strong and stable, it carved great, and I could handle them well in moguls. Was pleasant to find that it wasnt too hooky and I could control the carve at high speed with confidence and then release the edge/tail to shed speed of needed. The reason I ask about 189cm is because of the mount and I don’t want to be disappointed with having too little tip for deeper snow. Let me know what you think. Im leaning toward 183cm but would love your opinion. Thanks for review!
