SKIING AT A BIKE PARK - mtb on skis?! Paganella - Willy Wonka

I've always wondered if it could be done... skiing down a mountain bike trail. Well today, we put it to the test! Ski resorts in Italy are closed without any lifts operating to bring skiiers and snowboarders to the top. To hit the slopes, one must hike their way to the top... making for the perfect time to try skiing down a trail at a bike park. Amy and I headed to Paganella, climbed to the top, and this is the result! Skiing down Paganella's famous Hustle & Flow and Willy Wonka mountain bike flow trails. My fav mountain down here in NZ has mtb trails for the summer, I'm not much of a biker but they are so much fun to ski in the winter!

Thanks man! I had never seen it done before either. Thought of it because all the ski resorts are closed here, and I figured it’d be the perfect opportunity to try to ski the park trails without them being closed or tracked out / unrecognizable. Trekked our way to the top of the mountain by foot and skied back down! After I made the video, I did some searching and found one person who skied down A-line at Whistler, but it didn’t work out well and didn’t flow like this video - he also didn’t overlay MTB footage or anything.

I did something similar when i was snowboarding at Mont St. Anne!!! Super fun to find a jump/berm track and shred it :)

Sicccckkkk! I’m pretty sure I’ve stumbled upon a few trails hiding under the snow in Colorado too, but this is the first time I was knowingly on a trail I’ve also MTB-Ed. That said, most MTB trails aren’t steep enough to have proper fun on skis 😉 especially in powder, so hard to keep speed on flatter terrain

Awesome video. I’ve often wondered what it would be like to ride a real mountain course during the winter. I had to mute the video though. The kick in the music sounds... not so good when played through a phone. Or at least my phone anyways. Again, awesome video!

I went to my first mountain which has mtb trails and skiing a nice flow trail has to be the most fun thing I’ve ever done in my life. It’s just diffrent and the features are just so much more fun on skis.
