Skiing off Huge Cliffs in Jackson Hole | Owen Leeper

Skiing my favorite backcountry lines, cliffs, and couloirs around Jackson Hole in my edit "Full Throttle" from the 2021 season. Follow along on / o_leeps for more!
Jackson Hole had an epic winter with their third snowiest February ever! We were skiing amazing powder all month and had some epic days on Cody peak in March when the sun came out. I threw one of my biggest front flips in the Targhee backcountry on the sendiest day of the season! I also had a very close call in one of the tight couloirs where I barely saved it on one ski or I would have crashed into the rock wall. Luckily I managed to get my skis under me before having to clear the rocks at the bottom.

Owen Leeper is a true KING of Jackson Hole. Shooting those slots with such precision and total authority takes "Super Natural Control" and this video shows how to take skiing to a whole 'nother level!!! I have 'humbly' skied chutes similar back in the day BUT,(A BIG But) it was nothing like this. Totally exhilarating with a sound track to match! I can't remember another skier of this ability captured on video since Scott Schmidt skiing the Tahoe region back in the 1980's. That's where I lived and did most of my skiing "back in the day." Thanks for taking us along for the ride!!!

Only ever skied lift-served terrain at Jackson and that's enough for me. Watching all the amazing runs by the pros shows just how insane it really gets there. Great skiing and camerawork.

AWESOME AND SCARY NARROW SKI RUNS.!! CLOSING SHOT OF VIDEO WAS GREAT WITH THE RUNAWAY SLED AND SKIING ACROSS OPEN WATER.!! Owen, I'm impressed. I use to hit some of that stuff in the late '70, but never the tight upper chutes, you couldn't get a pair of 207's to even make a slight turn in those. Also nice to see someone doing a front layout- also my favorite! As I sit here recovering from an ankle rebuild in my older age (new knees also)- they ask me if I would do it all over again.... Absolutely, without question.
