I used to adore the tank but lately it just rarely works flawless anymore for me. To many games in wich im suddenly lit up and just dead in no time. Size makes it also so easy to blind farm this is compounded by the fact it cant take many positions wich makes the tank predictable.

One tip: use the shell velocity crew skill on Skorpion and Grille. For me it makes it instantly much better.

Agreed, I don't know why Skill doesn't take shell velocity perk and yet also switches to APCR just for the shell velocity so often. Sure, the velocity perk usually won't benefit as much as APCR (perk is 10% and APCR is almost always +20% or more) but it does a lot to help improve those things!

For some reason it doesn't show in the garage info, but if you mouse over the shell velocity of your ammo in a live game, you'll notice that the mouse over tooltip will show a higher velocity. Also, the difference can be felt a bit if you're familiar with the tanks you're playing with.

I have both, Su130 and skorpion In my opinion. I think Su130 is better because it's has better alpha dmg, better gun handling( just a bit) , and most importantly it has more camo than skor. When i play skorpion, i feel so annoying when im spotted so many times more than SU130. And because of that, i can not live longer and deal more dmg when i play with the skor

It's still the best tier 8 TD in term of consistency. Playing with Skorpion has become way harder because of so many broken tanks got released in the recent years. But now, you can fix most of its weaknesses with equipments & crew skills. The environment got rougher. In the same time, the tank got more/better tools. It's newbie friendliness went down but its potential remains on top.

​@@napioor you're smoking copium too hard bro. Perfect Charge is literally the best Loader perk for all snipers. Nothing else can give you easier time pre-aiming at moving targets at mid-long range. I'm not very good with Skorpion, but I do 2.5k dmg + 600 spotting on avg. Bounty Rotation + Bounty Exhaust + Bond Optics. No Repair crew. No situational perks. Everything is about raw stats and what works all the time. I rarely camp and always try to spot for myself whenever I can.

I got myself the su 130pm and i think it was the better deal. With experimental turbo, rotation mechanism and experimental aiming device this thing is madness. In the 2nd setup i use optics, exhaust and also the aiming device. This setup is for open maps great.

SU is easier to play but Skorpion is still better for more experienced players. It's way faster and more accurate with a 360 turret. But its gigantic profile with almost no camo leaves no room for mistakes. Although you can fix its camo by using a Bounty Exhaust, playing aggressively with Skorpion is still extremely dangerous if you're not experienced enough.

Not comparable in playstyle, Skorpion is much more mobile and has a fully rotating turret, you can play aggressively with it, I prefer it to the SU

You don't need exp turbo, the problem with su-130pm's mobility is terrain resistance, so I recomend geting off-road driving perk and also reinforced suspension from field mods

I've always been team su 130, but skorpion is the equivalent with a couple of trade-offs. It deserves epic. At tier 8, very few tds can play the way a t67 can. The golden combination of mobility and a good gun cannot be matched by any amount of armor. The good players will shine in it and the bad players will be worse. The tank doesn't play itself like the xm57. It's what world of tanks should be, and I think for that it should stay epic.

It's defs a skill cannon, only rewarding bushing n sniping if done properly due to its camo as well, I lean towards the 130PM too cos its more a dedicated snipe and absolutely slaps.

Good tank, still love the gun on it, but agree that it's more a 4 star tank these days. It's not JUST that there are high pen HE, Czech tanks and more accurate artas then there used to be, but I feel like the biggest killer vs the far olden days are LT's like ELC EVENs running CVS. Your tank's huge size and low camo will betray you and you will get spotted from a mile away. I think this tank's skill floor is honestly too high to be enjoyable for a lot of folks, I know I get tilted pretty quickly playing this one.

The Skorpion is a great tank, in my opinion. Good speed, great gun and fully rotating turret. It can be played as a red line sniper...schnitzel but under certain circumstances we can play more agressively. Cammo rating is miserable so people have to get used to it. Good for credit farming. Off course, the meta is favouring tanks with armour and sometimes it can be challenging to play with it.

Very nice tank, just needs to be played with some thought and it can be a lot of fun. But the Borsig with the 150mm is even more fun, especially for casual players, instead for performance you just go for fun slapping people for 750 every now and then, stress-free experience😄

Skorpion and SU 130PM are my main credit grinders. Both very good tanks. The only thing that's bothering me about Skorp is the accuracy, great on paper, but you are missing a lot of fully aimed shots.

Most tier 8 premium tanks run about $40 on the NA server. of those there are 4 that are worth it. Skorpian, SU-130 PM, Prog 46 and Borat. any others are just for you to have fun with.

Depends on play style, the new xm57 could be a way batter choice than Skorp, or even Shptk, you metioned 2 tds and 2 meds, to make it complet i would say instead: Bourrasque, Su-130pm( or an armored td like turtle or xm57), elc even and skoda t56, one of each classes in the the game

It's harder to play due to intuition and since tier 8 is filled with other very good and op tanks. That said fully rotatable turret, gun and mobility combo is more than enough to do well and most importantly there are no SU moments or at least they are a lot rarer :)

Skorpion G is a legendary TD i do own it ever since it came out i 2 marked it and its now collecting dust in my garage i do take it out sometimes for a spin and i forgot how good it is and what a nice credit maker that tank is. Beautiful tank

In my opinion still a 5 star, not the best camo or overall for a TD but it has the best flexability in tier 8, not even the TS-5 or the Su130 have the abilities to snipe of brawl as the Skorp. But the powercreep has come and meaby in a close future it will come a TD that can do all what the Skorpion can but better.

So if they arent spotted, it means they got a good position, and that always mean that since they have LoS, you get shoot them back, or blindfire. Arty means you just pray that they don't just focus fire and ruin your damn day. If you get circled by lights, then its also good play. Do you even know the risks LT players take to scout and do their job? LT players are the most skilled. There are many ways to counter them, OP tanks is toxic, but they also have to follow these rules. Arty just smashes them regardless. If i get 1 shot by 3 TDs, then I dont mind. But imagine getting focused by 3 arty, ON TOP of brawling with heavies, dealing with mediums. Yeah no, arty is easily the most toxic class, when you can barely do anything to counter them, just pray that almighty arty don't focus you instead

Its a great tank, but not sneaky or armored enough for my limited skills. I would say scorpion is not a beginner tank. You need to know how to work bush properly and understand viewrange and map positions and angles to spank enemys with out getting spanked in return. As shown in the video tier 7 arta can two shot scorpion very easily. Personaly i enjoy ka-ri more than scorpion. Its got suprisingly good camo and it has some armor and can bounce a shot or two, no turret sadly.

I dont really want to say it, but this might be a 4 star now, just cos of the meta shift. Intuition change is the main catalyst. Tbf, all light armoured tanks have the same issue so cannot really single out only skorpion, but I do find skorpion much better to play compared to the 130pm. The mobility is just so much better

I grew to hate this tank. The 490 doesn't bite as much as before, the gun is annoyingly trollish, and even though it is supposed to be a long range sniper, the ammo is slow in today's standards. It might be still above-average objectively, but a pretty crap experience to play with.

It WAS epic...i did 2nd mark on this tank a year and half ago and when i saw this video i wanted try goes to 3rd mark. But every game is too fast, and too unbalanced and mainly there are lot of HE shells guys. You have mobility and gun. BUT there were many changes on map for example Ghost Town when you cant have proper game so it is harder and harder to find dmg. So Skorpion is ONLY GOOD nowadays
