yeah, juanjodpr, imo the worst of all the tier 5 german medium tanks that struggles even against tier 4. And an insanely high cap for acetanker and gunmarks. Especially since the gun tries to miss even the best aimed shots. When you finally hit it's a 10% chance to penetrate at a green pen marker.

I got one back in 2014. Back then, I enjoyed it to a point where I thought the price was worth it. It plays exactly like its cousin, the PZ IV H, because I used the long gun on that as well. I always used it as a dedicated sniper, and it worked pretty well for the most part. The game has changed so much in the last ten years though. Back then, there was a dedicated amount of players in tiers 4-6. However, the game has kind of phased out of that, and caters more towards tiers 7-10 now. Then you have the powercreep of other tanks that factors in too. What was once a decent tank has now become, as Skill said "a pile of kaku." **Hope I spelled that right.

Having 70k battles, 6.5k PR; l thought l can make any Tier V work. So l got this tank for bonds. Major disappointment, even if l use my 5 skilled crews, l only get so-so winrate or gameplay. Too slow, weak alpha, derpy accuracy, no camo, no durability (any hit received gets critical damage). After getting an Ace mastery l stopped playing permanently. Wasted bonds.

Looking further into the Hydro it had no front transmission. The rear tank tread sprockets were run by hydraulic pumps. The tank had very accurate quick variable turning. It also had much more torque because of this system. None of this is bet is modeled by WG developers. You like very accurate tank info. If you don't mind check these things in game. 1) very accurate smooth quick turning and much extra torque then the normal Panzer 4 2) Not susceptible to Normal German front transmission damage because there isn't one in the front to damage ! Two variable hydraulic pumps powered by the engine and located on the rear sprockets power the tank

Just one more interesting thing skill, apparently the Germans were working on a similar drive system for the turret. Never finished thou. There are advantages to using one. They are similar to the track advantages.

Years ago it was a give away, when you bought 30500 Gold for 99.95€. Somes years ago there were monthly marathons, where you can choose between 3 tanks(when I remember right from tier 5 to 7, but I don't know if he was one of them) after getting enough points. Ther candidates were the PzKpfWg. II J and the BTSV. I guess, he was one time in the christmas loot boxes. First I think, in the Prokhorovka-battle the M4 A1 was the spotter not the Turan, because he has the same base-viewrange(330m) as the hydr.-stat. Second I could be, I overheard it, but the most effect on the viewrange in your setup is the chocolate. My view on the tank I think, this tank isn't so bad for an Tier V tank. This tank has preferental MM. The turret is the same as the PzKpfWg. V/IV and IV H, and the gun too. His weakpoints are the armor, his power to weight ratio/accelerration and his biggest is the viewrange with 330m. I drive it with vents, rammer/rotation mechanism in improved bounty and bino. My conclusion The two bundles and 3000 bonds are too expensive for this tank. In the bundles are too unnecessary things(in my case) in it. For the bonds are better vehicles to buy. From 7 to 8 Euros only with a crew and a garage slot or in bundles with useful things, like crew books, up to 15 Euro at maximum.

Pz.Kpfw. IV Hydrostat was a promo tank for the World of Tanks Razer DeathAdder mouse, back in 2014. and even in 2014 it felt rather underwhelming to play it. also nothing new from Wargaming, the problem here is, it works... they're printing money like crazy on junk like this :D

Hmm...if I remember correctly, the Pz. IV Hydrostat used to be a really, really rare tank way back when. Almost as mythological as the Type 59, naturally way worse tier-for-tier, but had big value to collectors, and presumably still has that. With vehicles like the Type 59 having been effectively de-mystified by them being sold more frequently again these days - despite WG often claiming they would never sell those vehicles ever again - the steady decline of the game becomes more apparent. Nevermind the broken promises, but back then, vehicles like the Type 59, E-25, Pz. B2, KV-220 etc. struck fear into the hearts of other tankers as they were very difficult to defeat, but nowadays they barely raise an eyebrow as way more powerful vehicles are much more easily available these days (-> insane powercreep. What's a Type 59 to a Bourrasque or whatever that wacky Chinese rocket thing was?). But that also means they can make those old vehicles more available again - who will remember the fact that they were supposed to be super rare anyway, right? And that includes the Pz. IV Hydrostat. Slap a massive price tag on it, because who else apart from collectors and WoT dinosaurs (people who played for a decade and longer) would even want that, and boom, profit. Buyer's remorse guaranteed.

I don't *hate* my Hydro (which I got for free), but comparing it to the IV/V is sooo painful: obviously, the panther hull is superior to a PZ IV hull that's even less armoured than the PZ IV H to start with, but WHY does the IV/V, with the same gun in the same turret, have to blow out the hydro out of the water on DPM, aimtime, accuracy, dispersion, and have 35 metres more viewrange (admitedly, it has 33 % lower camo.)

Hey Skill, to make it clear, I share your opinion on the offer and yes, Hydro is not the best tier5. The positive 2 points,you stated late. Hydro has pref MM and compared to closest cousins with same gun and armor and close to the same mobility: Ankou andTechtree PzIV H. This doesn't make the tank any better for sure but never the less it is worth to mention. Other topic to mention: please don't talk "all the players" in the lower tiers bad. There are as many clueless and bad players in tier8 and tier9 tanks as there are in tier 5's. and with the tier8 and tier9 premiums you meet this tomatoes in any hightier battle too. oh, not only premiumtanks ...
