I play a lot of slow tanks and find myself pedaling as fast as I can to get back to my base to reset, because my teammates don't want to get their tanks scratched. They simply cannot be bothered to stop the enemy from winning, especially if they're out hunting for "Glory Points!" They always leave the hard stuff up to everyone else and that's why they have a success rate of less than 50%!

I quite enjoyed the Churchill VII. Tad slow though, but one gets the hang of it. Definitely better against same tier or lower. Tier VII and above just farm it.

The sad thing is: This line (at least Churchill I to Black Prince) could easily be made playable and enjoyable. Give them a bit more dpm, a bit more gundepression and maybe a bit more speed, and you are golden.

These British tanks, had me in tears, trying to play through them..... took me YEARS... really, I never really played them. So they ended up, being the VERY LAST heavy line I ran up. And I am going to tell you guys...It's was a terrible experience.

My recommendation is just spend the research stuff on this kind of tanks. Save them for terrible tanks only. I did that. Cuz after 3 games I was like naaah I will not play with this

The 'bad tank' rating I cannot understand... I see it more in the 'playable' category. The Churchill-line has a very bad reputation, but I think it is exaggerated... yes it is slow and the armour, the depressing gun depression and alpha damage are questionable. But on the other hand, by tier 6 standards, the gun hits reliable which is something to appreciate. Slowness might be an advantage for some players (if you have a tendency to rush into hopeless situations). As a top-tier you can go in front and chisel away the enemies. As a low-tier it works OK as 'sniper from the back'.

Oh no, oh no... Churchills, a British Nemezis... I read about them as superb tanks and so it was my first choice in WoT. Boy, I was disappointed, playing them as a total tomato noob... and I'd be as much disappointed today! Totally not my cup of tea, very frustrating, from Churchill I to Black Prince, although a stock Carnarverververon was as also a painful experience. Churchill III would be better if not for abysmal penetration values. Maybe British line is just not for me, I like French HTs much more.

WG's interpretation of the realworld Churchill VII in WOT is pure blasphemy. In reality it was the best Churchill of them all with the most profound war effort impact of all Churchills. It's no SIM game yeah I know, but this tank should deserve better in the game, to reflect its true battle value. Buff stats or maybe downtier it, I don't care how they would do it, it should be better ingame than it is now.

I honestly think this video should have unironically been 5 seconds saying don't play this tank. If you are a new player, don't play this tank, it'll be the end of wot for you because it's such utter crap. If you aren't a new player, free exp this tank and be done with it. This tank is terrible and sure you can get 2K damage games even in tier 8 games but most of the time you'll be put in the trashcan where this tank belongs.

The fact that the only Churchill worth playing is the Russian one, has always made me laugh. Grinding the black prince as a noob was one of the worst experiences in WOT.

Lets just that some Blueprints were invested... Churchhill I as a Tier V was at least ok. But Churchhill VII was bläh. Black Prince at least has some decent Armor if you know what to do. But yeah its a pretty nasty grind

First battle it took 2 minutes and 30 seconds to get into position to take the first shot. I minute later the score was 11-1. Wow! I would have been pulling my hair out.

This amazing paper armor moving with the high speed of 20 km per hour across the map whilst throwing potatoes out of a gun with beautiful 4° of gun depression. Thankfully I made it through this and the Black Prince while still having hair on my head. But man was it worth the grind. If you have British blueprints left this line is a very good investment for them. Day 23 of asking for a video with the Jagdpanzer IV.

That blooper game, as soon as I would see T29 on other team on that map then I would play the city by default. Nothing more rage inducing than just being farmed by a tank you can do literally nothing against

I think Churchill VII is not that bad if you are not against tiers VIII. Against tier VII its playble vehicle and i quite enjoy it.

Always liked the Churchill I at tier 5, but the Tier 6 felt like a straight up downgrade. The increase in capabilities that tier 8 tanks have just make it painful.

If you add a turbo to a snail its still a snail. So throw the turbo out and add binos instead. ??? That will give you a new "view" of that tank, 474m view range with the right crew skills outsmarts many meds and driving tds and most heavies, and when hiding in a proper bush approaching enemies do not know what is hitting them so fast ... Ok, when going forward the binos are off, but stopping frequently, and suddenly the enemies light up ... and your bulb not. Fire to your fun ... The churchill VII is a successful tank with AP standard ammo only, making lots of credits and reaching quite high in the tree in random battles, and not only lower tier.

I wouldn't rate Churchill I bad... I would rate it playable or good, but probably playable. But Churchill VII is bad without any doubts.

The thing is, when angled... this tank practically almost invincible against MT. Even some HT struggle lol. But since premium ammo is literally everywhere. Yeah...

I think it could be worth using the 6 pdr gun and loading the gold. Which gives you 180 pen. Since you have a fast shooting gun, you might as well have a higher dpm. From what I checked, assuming you pen each shot, you have more dpm than the T29. Which Atleast gives the Churchill VII some more firepower. You pretty much just do about 75 damage per shot but you reload very fast and the damage adds up quickly. I think it works better than using the top gun and causing less damage and dpm. The obvious downside is that you won't be earning credits, this setup might not be good for people who trade with you and take cover, and 180 pen might not be enough, although it is still higher than the pen in the top gun's standard rounds.

Thank God I've got the Super Conqueror and the FV215b and didn't start grinding this line in the current meta... British Heavies where my first heavies in my garage... I still remember the times where fully upgraded Caernarvon was the current Caernarvon AX and the stock Conqueror had the AX turret and the 230 dmg gun... Man those where good days... 😝 Now everyone is crying about Artillery being broken and more things... Poor kids... They don't know how it feels to get 1 tapped by arty :(

I think I may be one of the only people in the game who actually *liked* that tank. Not sure how but I was able to consistently have solid games even when not getting the best matchmaking, found myself carrying, even sometimes outright dominating in it. ...And yes I was spamming mostly gold, I fully admit this.

Can I say that I like playing Churchill I and VII ? They are not the easiest tanks on the World of Tanks, they are not the best to keep high player statistics, they are arty magnet, I know all that! But I have fun to use them... That's life, and when life can be fun, let's just accept unexpected fun! 😄

my humble suggestion for everyone still playing this game, is to use blueprints to skip all the churchills/blyat prince (although skill kinda likes that)... The caravaravaron is worth it!

I think with this tank, your main mission is to try to reach a position, where your dead corpse can give the most advantage to your teams tactical efforts. Btw. What is this deep masochism Skill? Its not even Monday. :D

About the final bloop battle: If I'm on that position, rather than challenging T29 on hill fight I will just hide in the city and told everyone to not engage the hill and secure the southeast corner instead. Not always work, but sometimes your team do listen (or at least enough people listened) and the enemy team have no idea what to do after realizing that hill is empty and made mistakes themselves. Much better than challenging T29 to a hill fight which is straight up suicidal lel.
