I made an odd decision to use optics AND binocs > 482/531 view. Exhaust gives me ~45 camo. Question: if it is not as good as the Hellcat, why is the Ace so much harder to get? At the moment, Ace on this is 1394, but Cat is only 1225. I've had some great games in it, but the Ace still eludes me :(

​@@ballistyxwot4577 Late reply, but the reason Hellcat has lower mark and ace requirements is because average performance is dragged down by people playing it in its stock configuration before unlocking the top gun etc.

Even tho the Hellcats bloom is even quite a bit bigger whenever you're breathing in it for me the hellcat is the better tank. It's faster, has better camo and the accuracy whenever you're aiming is better. One noteworthy thing about the Hellcat is that the ammo capacity is very limited so you run out sometimes which doesn't happen with the T78.

I really like this tank! You can use it as a light tank for spotting or as a tank destroyer in the same game. True you need to aim but good gun for the tier. I can't say if the Hellcat is better, they are a bit different and good.

3 marked it yesterday. Tough enough mark for a tier6 but it's a good tank and fun. Scout build - Camo/Optics/Bounty Turbo. Small/City map - Rammer/Optics/Bounty Turbo. Overall after experimenting with many equipment builds I found this TD simply must have at least a bounty turbo and preferably bounty/bond optics at all times. It makes a great scout and supporting tank but it's lack of acceleration and lack of Hellcat top speed means I use a turbo at all times which allows me to be far more influencial during battles, getting early positions, relocating etc. The camo is ok but not amazing so to make the most out of the scouting potential and protect its low hp, I use the camo exhaust equipment which pushes moving camo to over 30% and shooting camo to an excellent 10%. Optics and food is a gimme. Interestingly I didn't find much gain out of using rammer or any other gun equipment. Don't misunderstand, I would like better reload or a smaller fully aimed circle or better turret speed BUT, none of them felt worth the trade imho. For a second build I use rammer instead of camo but it's not used much. The main advantage of this T78 over a Hellcat is the fact it's a premium obviously. That means you don't need a dedicated crew but more importantly it means that you can run this tank with food and use more premium ammo without losing lots of credits unlike the Hellcat. Otherwise the Hellcat is better in most areas. Better speed, better fully aimed dispersion, better premium ammo penetration, better camo. Not massively so in any area but all those little advantages make an overall better package, but it's a tech-tree so it loses credits but not much.

I am working on 3 mark on Cromwell Berlin. I used to dread bottom tier battles, but as I get closer to 95%, I like seeing tier 8's. I am running optics, and I can scoop up lots of sweet assistance damage if I play shrewdly. When you are chasing marks, you do not have to rack up damage if you can rack up spotting damage. Got T78 from Christmas boxes and I love it, I loved old T49(T67) and Hellcat but they were standing in my garage without a crew like forever, T78 need stabilization but secondary setup (hardly ever used) with a cammo net is nuts you can shoot like some ELC EVEN 90 they wont spot you after shot but aiming is hard, also T78 can train T110E4 crew and it makes some credits so this makes T78 better than a Hellcat

I disagree. Hellcat is faster and has better camo. In some situations it gets awesome. Maybe t78 is more flexible but worse guns stats... Just my opinion after 5k games on hellcat

While I'd say Hellcat is a bit better, for some reason I really like playing the T78 more. Also, more people know about Hellcat's specs, so Arty just loves the Hellcat and everyone LOVES to ram a Hellcat. And, since my hobby is blindfiring (thankyou Skil for educating me in its pleasures), that extra ammo really helps me pursue my love.

This is indeed a good tank, one of my 3 favourites at tier 6 (85m and M4A1 Fl 10). One of only 2 tanks I've bothered to 3 mark (spam the gold and she comes alive!). As I recall I was in the top 3 of the NA server with it for some time. I don't play her as much these days, more tier 8+ tanks for credits.

This tank has crazy good cammo, you can play it like a light tank a lot of the time. I'd actually sacrifice the gun rammer as it's pointless with the long aim time. You get better effective DPM with gld / rot mech or you can take exhaust/camo or binocs in that slot. Gun rammer isn't optimal on t78

T78 is one of my favs. One good point it has a lot of ammo compared to its brothers. I think I got mine out of a Christmas box.

I know I am watching this video late (because I am slowly stepping away from the game again). But I always have something to learn from skill4ltu. In today's lesson: "Squeezing shit out of water". Hahahaha what a priceless expression. I will remember it when I have diarrhoea, if you know what I mean. Jokes aside, I have never seen the cactus camo before. The only the special camouflage I know of is the Federalist style. I bought the T78 in 2020 and I finally played it last year during Battle Pass Season 6. I want to love the T78, but I really hate the gun dispersion and traverse speed. So yes I agree with skill that the Hellcat is better, or at least the Super Hellcat.

Yeah stats maybe worst than cat but it have more carry potential. I got 3700 dmg and 2k spotting , all you need is understand camo mechanics and view range.

This tank is good , it is slow than hellcat but at least it still ok . All you need find a good place to shoot . I currently marking this tank 55% with nearly 73%wr in 30 games

I like the T78 better than the M18, the M18 has better dispersion and aim time but the T78 has better soft stats. However, what I like a lot more about it is it has 17 more rounds than the M18. Only thing the M18 excels in over the t78 is top forward speed.

I love playing this tank but i wouldnt say its better than a hellcat. You need like 150 base xp more to get a mastery badge on this tank and 400 more combined dmg on average to get your 3rd mark of excellence. So the playerbase is getting better results on this tank. I am a scrub and didnt even get the mastery badge but my winrate is like 5-10% higher than normal while playing this tank. 70+ games arent much to compare but i feel like its easier to play constant with this tank. It feels like the turret is not out of paper and mobility and gun handling feels nice.

To correct me. Its not "worse" than a hellcat. I misspelled sadly. Currently iam at 63% winrate with 80 games. To name some bad thinks -> slow turret traverse speed. Slow backspeed. Sometimes not enough pen with the standard rounds against heavies. But every 1000 dmg game will make you feel like you played bad even if its a t6 tank. The expectations are kinda too high for me

I never played T78 but i played like 5500 games in Hellcat. And there's a simple reason why hellcat is better: speed+camo. You can guess my crew is quite good. And since improved aim device and field modifications appeared, it gives 0.27 accuracy (not 0.25). If you move slowly (using R F keys) it doesn't bloom too much, and the gun is awesome. Maybe t78 has more ammo but besides that, it lacks most important thing: 72kmh top speed. I had crazy games on hellcat. Fear factor of this tank is amazing. In prokorovka is a ghost

The best dispersion you can get with the Hellcat is .27. Bounty Aiming, Coke, BIA, Directive and Parallax Adjustment.

I prefer the T78 over the hellcat. I like the speed of the T78. The hellcat is now sluggish. Also the hellcat shots tend to drop off center. and the hellcat has such a slow turret rotation.

Hellcat is not sluggish currently at all. With turbo and field mod it's super fast. It flies over battlefield in over 70kph easily.

I just checked out the arty from the first games that the E25 moaned about and I think he could well be right about him being a BOT :-( . please do video for Skoda T40 . yeah luck with matchmaking in wot.... last week i got a pretty decent mm with worst was 3 times +1, 6 x single tier and a whooping 5 times toptier while playing tier 5 and tier 4 (14 battles). yesterday 14 battles in tier 4, tier 5 and tier 6 got me no top tier, 2 single tier, 5x +1 mm and 7x +2 mm. win ratio and wn8 ended up as expected. last week very good 2 times my average wn8, yesterday 75% of may average. waht can you do .... cry in the corner
