One setting that you must learn how to use and not die is the walk-attack setting. If you're an adc, for example, and is chasing a low health rengar into a bush, you can walk-attack into the bush, instead of walking amd then attacking. If you, you'll auto him mid jump, if he jumps on you, instead of simply dying. This helps with irelia, leblanc, yasuo, jayce, and every target dash that comes from fog. Especially important for those "killing from fog" moments.

Same thing for ability queing. If you press e on rengar as a vayne, it will only go off once he gets in range. So if hes about to jump you, just press e on him and itll hit him mid jump, pushing him away.

@@Johanlob1 Actually no. A + Left Click will make your character walk to a certain location and hit the first unit close to that location once it gets in range. You can also click directly onto a unit to hit it especifically, like a right click. As for skills, there are settings you can apply so that your skill will only target champions. You would set it, for example, as v + skill button, and point and click abilities that can target both minions and champions will only target champions.

This is entirely preference-based and depends on context. If you keep it on and are in a warded bush. Your character will attack anything red outside of the bush. Which lets you know it's warded without a scanner or red. If you have this setting off. You'll never know and be caught off guard when the enemies collapse on you from a blind angle. The attacking under turret can be countered by learned behavior to hit s or another command. You can't learn to autoattack from a bush when the enemy has vision to detect a stealth ward. So, I'll keep autoattack on and macro the other stuff, thanks.

as a ranged champion in the sidelane (i.e. support or top at the start of the game) you can scan bushes for wards without Oracle Lens, as if there's a minion in range and you are on vision then you will automatically attack enemy minions in range. As a melee champion, such as in every given example it was on a melee champion so apart from in the jungle you don't get remotely as much of an upside as a Thresh or Urgot or Zyra would get

@@plushyw5870 weird, I play pretty much every role and I usually always have spare control wards. And as I also mentioned. There are other ways to check for vision. Minions will aggro you if enemy has vision but wont aggro to you if they don't. There are vision plants all over the map to clear vision. If you are support then yes you usually have sweeper and / or umbral, with control wards and normal wards. But as a jungler you should by all means have a sweeper and probably a control ward or two. As a mid there is no reason not to get a control ward every few backs until full build. And as a top you also have no excuse not to get one. Adcs usually play around supports who clear most of the vision hence they benefit from blue ward instead. But overall most roles either get sweeper or control wards and if you don't... well you're kinda trolling considering how important vision is in this game. Not to mention the fact that you don't need to check every bush. You check key bushes. And ward deep with stealth wards so you can see if the enemy wards and with the ward ping have an indicator for when the wards expire.

While I do play with auto attack off, it does have a benefit: ranged champions can reveal which brush are warded, because you'll only auto attack if the enemy team has vision of you, so if you're hiding in a bush and start randomly autoing the nearest target when something enters your range, you know it's warded.

I actually still use this setting, and I've learned to use it to my advantage quite often. And, since I've been playing for about 12-13 years, I've gotten extremely on-point with using S at any point I need to. It's one of my most useful keys to press, and I prefer using it to stop over just "walking to where I want to". I click further, and then press S exactly where I want to stand. Only time it screws me is if I get rooted under a turret by an ability I didn't see coming (ie. Zyra over a wall or something), which is very rare. And your champ automatically attacks minions if you're in a bush, and they have vision of you, which is useful in cases where the minions are already fighting each other, and not gonna go for you, but you aren't sure if the bush is warded. (Tho some champs, like Kha'Zix, don't need this, as he has his Passive to check that, and same with Pyke and his grey health) Tho I do, no matter what, turn it off when playing Kalista. I don't play her often, whatsoever. But if I do get her on ARAM, or wanna try some bs on Arena, I turn that shit off. Kalista with auto attack feels AWFUL. With most champs, the worst that can happen is throwing an auto attack. With Kalista, it's throwing an auto attack and moving when you didn't intend to, which has gotten me killed before by accident.

The reason why I keep it on (as a GM Support Main) is cus it helps me know if a bush is warded. My champion would move to auto attack if a nearby targetable non champion passes by a bush, most often time the wave. My champion wouldnt automatically move it is isnt warded. It help me tremendously on lane bush control and setting up cheesy kills. Well, it doesnt matter much on low elo, but it makes a ton of diff in higher as a support.

Ive mastered to stop command with S key, I have autoattacks on because you will start autoattacking anything in range if the enemy has the brush warded, it will not autoattack by itself if they dont have vision on you. Very useful as an adc to spot out warded lane brushes.

You can tell if a bush is warded if you have auto attack on and stand in a bush. If you are on vision you will auto attack while inside the bush on the nearest enemy (usually a minion in bot or top lane) If you are not in vision you will not auto attack anything. This works best with range champs since the minions or enemies wont get close enough to have this interaction occur on melee ones.

Yes I have it enabled since 12 years now, and I will not deactivated it. I had a few moments where this gave me the kill. And esecially in the jungle, it is really annoying without it. Auto attack is extremely useful as jg and adc especially. If you are in an unwarded bush you will not auto anything until you step out, are revealed, or an enemy walks into the bush even with the setting on. Its basically a free sweeper with no cd. It allows jg to know if a bush is warded without needing to go sweeper, and allows adcs to cheese their opponent by autoing in the bush, walking out then immediately back in to prevent retaliation or even minion aggro.

I turn it ON when I am jungler and OFF on lanes

95% of players do not have this on... i barely see anyone with it on

Youd just lose too much damage in fights or whenever if you had to click attack in every trade. Worth dying once to it in 50 games for getting turret aggro
