Hugging walls aren't always a bad idea; it allows for you to expose yourself to multiple angles faster giving you more flexibility when peeking. Basically since the area you need to move is incredibly small, pie peeking a room and exposing yourself/clearing 5+ angles/20 degrees will take maybe a second. If you're far away from the wall/door however, you need to travel a greater distance which will slow down your peek at the cost of a smaller target. Peeking from further away will also allow you to clear the room slower and taking on 1 guy at a time, maybe clearing 20 degrees every 1 second rather than 40/60/80 degrees every one second. Basically, the further away you are from the wall, the slower your peek and the more precise your peeking. The closer you are, the faster the peek though at the cost of a larger target.

Tip from a cs player with 1k hours , when you start off UNBIND YOUR CROUCH it's always been known newer player have a horrible habit of crouching TOO MUCH I say too much bc crouching can be very viable but if you keep doing it you become a bigger target and you become more predictible..unbinding your crouch also helps with crosshair placement which is in my opinion one of the most important things to learn constantly keeping your crosshair at head level helps build that muscle memory which is what you want to keep developing to make shooting a second nature thing
@hoolowaynoobr.7384 жыл бұрын
@MALEK001 001 when you peak and immediately crouch that's a no no people expect you to drop always bc why not it's accurate and you're smaller but it's too predictible and people prefire where your head should be, but if you hold an angle crouching it might catch them off guard but again you still are a big target crouching you go from a line to a big blob ripe for lighting up

Peeking advantage is natural for this type of games due to the difference in reaction times. If a person is holding an angle he doesn't know when an enemy is going to appear, in the other hand the peeker is expecting someone when cornering an angle. The reaction time for the one holding is greater than the guy peeking (if footsteps are out of equation) so there's the advantage.
