Keep in mind BGS is not ALL ABOUT DAMAGE and tier lists don't matter 100% all the time too😂 (as ive seen Demonolgy players with 2525 rating already and Rating is easier in BGs than shuffle). Because you still have to win by objectives...

Do you have any tips for a complete noob to get into PvP? The gap feels so large that it's pretty overwhelming to be honest. I join a BG and feel like i do nothing but clog up a teamfight and die.

​@@davidpeat184 I understand you very much, felt the same when I started playing rated arena and solo shuffle. My advice would be: 1. Read up on the main offensive CDs, defensive CDs, and crowd control of every class. Also be aware of dispel protection mechanics such as for affliction warlocks' Unstable Affliction, shadow priests' Vampiric Touch, and shamans' Flame Shock. Or counterattack abilities like shamans' Counterstrike Totem (PVP talent, rarely used though) and windwalker monks' Touch of Karma. 2. Max out your PVP gear as much as possible. 3. Play a lot of random (non-rated) BGs. 4. Play (non-rated) arena skirmishes. 5. Duel people and ask for some tips. 6. Stay in line-of-sight and range of your healer, and don't bring melee on top of him/her.

Glad to see someone pointing this out, unfortunately 95% of the PvP community under 1500 rating has no clue about this and will just endlessly zug, not playing objectives in battleground blitz should be punished as not doing the objectives is a detriment to the entire team and not just the people not doing the objectives. That being said gamemasters should actually monitor the reason why people are getting kicked from games before banning them. I've seen several posts on Reddit describing how people got reported for simply telling their teammates they are ruining the match by not playing objectives.

Ive just made it over 1800 as demonology. I've found that i can create a lot of pressure and control fights quite well due to my CC's which combined with my high-ish damage output is a nightmare for healers to deal with. It's great for defending bases or slowing flag carriers. I just wish getting stuck in combat would be fixed. It's appalling

Sure once they nerf all the gap closers every melee has. If you cant gap close a mage that's a straight up skill issue. Lock, warr, rogue, dh all have perma slows and a mag3s slow needs to be casted

All Frost roots (including Frostbite procs) are on normal root DR, you are clueless. SkillCapped comments are really the #1 place to bitch about mages, even when they are far from FOTM. Stop smashing your head into your keyboard and learn to use the gapclosers on your zugzug spec strategically (trade them for Shimmer/Alter one by one). Or, even easier: just play MM. They are FOTM and hard counter mages. That way you can keep smashing your head into your keyboard and still kill mages.

But IDK maybe in this brand new mode where objectives and how the BG fundamentally works is different from random BG's a service like Skill capped should tell all the new people what's different and how it works. Thinking critically, if its done well and people see real results and gains from it then they would be more likely to sub to something like skill capped.

I hope blizz adds a 6v6 bg blitz type mode like ff14 has. Ff14s crystal conflict is a good mode with crap moment to moment gameplay. New smaller maps with quicker objectives.

There is no reason to play this game anymore. You either play the meta specs and win more often or play your favorite spec and lose more often. That is no ones fault except for Blizzard. There are only 8 viable classes... you will never see AWC featuring Demo warlock, BM Hunter, 34 marginal to non viable classes. PS Thank you for your money back guarantee, twice i tried your services and twice, demo warlock and BM hunter failed to achieve 400 point increase from 1200.

That's a personal problem. Even with you classes being bad you can definitely get way higher rated than that. Even at 2800 there are people that don't play objectively enough when objectives are the name of the game, and that's a huge difference from 1200

Fire Mage has no slows and snares? There is ice nova, frost nova, blastwave, ring of frost, slow... in short, fire have everything that a frost mage has, except for frostorb, which slows down very badly. If the fire mage takes Phoenix, he will have mass levitation for 3 seconds :))) Here, clearly, the person has not played this game, but makes some ratings.

Its strong yes, but when you have 3 buttons classes like hunter putting out way more burst and devokers turning the arena into hiroshima its hardly the best. A tier but far from SS tier like MM/BM (for how stupid easy it is to play)/and Devoker
