Great video … just learned about the 22 ball joints being pretty weak I’m going to need to do this so thanks.. I’ll be at Hammers see you there!

Great vid ! My opinion is: some components are sacrificial by design, break a tie rod vs shatter a rack, break an axle vs break a trans main gear, etc., etc.

I agree,

I just got the Misfit Garage bolt kit, I guess we have to still cut them which will be a PITA… good piece Of mind… installing the exact same tie rods, I hear it helps the steering feedback a bit

Great video but I'd rather carry a spare stock tie rod with me then damage a rack or break a arm mount. Most people don't take things into prospective like that, if you get these huge beefy arms you've now made the frame the weak point, same with these huge tie rods I see people installing. Now you have the rack to worry about. Also a big issue is most people upgrade tie rods with aftermarket and some times they still break but now you can't slap a stock one on because you've changed inner or outter connection points, ball joints to heims. It's a lot easier to track down a stock part then a aftermarket in the dunes or desert.. Arms and tierods are supposed to be a weak link, that's why everyone is breaking them now you're adding gusset kits and something has to give.

I would agree, but I think the problem is the car weighs a lot more and I think Polaris has to address the issues, they’ve been issues since the car was first released. A lighter car would have taken the hit and kept going!

If the factory Race teams are willing to replace the tie rods along with stock Rack. Im willing to take same chance. Gusset kit is a no brainer for me.. Ill leave the arms as the week point over the frame... You can still take your factory tie rods (inner and outer assembled) with you if somehow u bent an aftermarket one. same exact process to reinstall factory again.

Just an FYI. Any bolt you remove from your RZR is a TTY Bolt (Torque to Yield) meaning they are designed to permanently stretch. Reusing them can result in failure as they may over-stretch. Don't ask me how I know, lol. Always Replace your bolts!!!

Replacing bolts is a great suggestion, but I dont see anything in the service manual about the suspension bolts being torque to yield..

Polaris race cars replace the bearings in the rear of the tow link. Inside the knuckles where they attach, and yes the ball end of the front inner tie rod is a harder heat treatment just like CVC balls or wheel bearings. Bout time you get it fixed 😂 just kidding!
