They don't lip sync. They DO sing along with backing vocal tracks for a fuller sound. With lip syncing you only hear the recorded tracks and none of the live singing.

You know one thing I noticed about their concerts and love about Skillet is that their music sounds like it's off the radio. I love that, I get that sometimes it's good to change something up a bit to make it fun but man it's hard to get into the music again when you hear them play and then all of a sudden their adding on random beats or instrument to the song. In my opinion it ruins the song, keep it original, we like it for a reason. To add to this, I also love that they're not just playing the music but also listening to it and getting into the rythm with the crowd. For example, the drummer she's pretty bad ass when she plays the drums especially when she sings and the fan that blows her hair just adds to everything. Korey has a pretty bad ass voice, for a while I thought that it was Jennifer's voice that I was hearing. They both have pretty dope vocals. John, you're always great dude.

I’ve always thought that something happened with Korey’s voice. She sounded beautiful at the beginning of Skillet and she even sang live (there were a few songs out there live in acoustic). However, from a certain time to now, I noticed she couldn’t hit notes that she could before and everything ended with a live acoustic session they did when they launched Awake and she sounded off key and it was painful to see and hear. I think from that moment (of that year) she just lip syncs the songs. I always wondered why that happened or if she has some kind of damage in her voice.
