Hell, they've written a song about Catholic Werewolves slaughtering the hordes of undead in the name of God and Satan. Their songs are meant to be ironic. A better example of a Christian metal band that takes things for a much, much, MUCH more aggressive tone would be Impending Doom, although I'm fairly certain that the aggressive nature of their songs is meant to go along with their image of being a "Goreship" deathcore band.

I had never heard of the Skillet group before. I know you did a few of their songs, but I never bothered to listen to any of your covers of theirs. I think it was because I thought they did heavy metal rock or something. When I listened to the first minute of this song, I thought the lyrics were referring to The Lord Jesus Christ. I looked up the group, and they do Christian rock and Christian metal. As a Christian and believer, I feel kinda bad that I haven't listened to any of your covers from this group. I'm a simple person. I see Skillet, I click. No, but really. I love your covers in general, but this song is something special. I don't like many things religions do, be it the overly religious (American?) Christians, the Catholic Church or any other bad or incredibly conservative thing a religious group does so I'm rather keeping quiet about being a Christian. I don't want to get into discussions about whether religions are bad/outdated/whatever or not every time. But songs by Skillet... They make me feel at peace with my faith. They show that faith can be modern, that it isn't bound to the conservative way the religious leaders show, that it *can* fit into the modern world. So yeah, thank you for covering Stars. Awesome work as usual. :D
