I'll be honest, this particular cover has too many production issues for me to overlook. Yes their voices working together are always great, and when they sing lead it's emphasized. But the drums sound terrible and you can't make out what's going on in the lower harmonies because of the ambience effects. It's jarring, yet it's a consistent issue these two have had for a while. It makes this cover meh in my eyes, which is sad since they've blown me away so hard in the past. For some reason Skillet covers is where they fall flat.

Older songs? :) Skillet is WAY older than that. However, I agree! American Noise is a great song! If you want a serious throwback, look up their very first album xD Their album Comatose was their best album, followed by Awake. Comatose came out in 2006. Their first album came out in 1996
