It's been 23 years since "JESUS" was last mentioned in your songs. As a "Christian" band, I hope one of these songs in this upcoming album does mention HIM. I know some would say too much JESUS would be hard to write a rock song that sounds different, but skillet is skillet. Y'all make the best rock music out there. Though every song doesn't have to mention JESUS, the listener should at least be able to know who it is that can save them from their storm and problems in their life. I know many songs like psycho in my head, monster, sick and empty, save me, they're all great songs and i love that they address problems but by the end of the song, there's nothing better than having a solution and cure for those problems (that being JESUS). Even if a song consists of 99% problems, 1% of the song should at least point others to HIM. I guess that's why alien youth was so good as since then, its just been "you"... "you"... in songs. It can be so confusing at times because clearly in some songs YOU is in reference to CHRIST, but in other songs "you" is implied in a bad way and sometimes it can get hard to keep up with. I've heard you say before that people can interpret a song however they want and thats true, but as a writer, you have a meaning behind each song, and being a Christian band, each song should in some way, regardless if it's fighting depression, addiction, sadness, loneliness, expressing joy, hope, etc, should always point others to CHRIST which even if it's not overt in one song, should at least be felt by the time a listener finishes hearing an album. You can at least express the meaning of songs and say this is what the song's about, and if people who aren't Christian want to imply it to situations in their life, even if it does mention JESUS, thats fine, they can, but i notice in recent years, it seems many "CHRISTian" bands are replacing JESUS for "you" and it completely takes away from our calling in this life of leading others to HIM. No hate by any means as I listen to your songs everyday, i just hope in future releases there will be more Holiness (= set apartness), and even if a song was completely all about JESUS, people would still listen because that's just how good your music is.
