I watched this video yesterday and just came back from the court to try it out; my swing is more flat (been playing for over 30 years). the forehand was amazing, harder lower more consistent shots; the backhand won't come as easy, I get it sometimes but will need a lot of work to the point I don't have to think about it. Wonderful way in which you communicate a concept. Thanks.

You are right the backhand is harder, practice, practice, practice! Thanks for the feedback.

Excellent video and demonstration of great 'tight swing' backhand technique.

The loop swing is a more natural swing as long as you get your wrist right it is fantastic, you see I hit a few of the shots with poorer outcomes, it still takes training to get a consistent quality outcome.

Hi, great video. In this swing,shouldn't your wrist still be cocked like a normal swing,to ensure accuracy and clean hitting and Would the forehand loop swing, be the complete opposite, applying the same principles
@squashanalysis5670Ай бұрын
Your wrist is cocked and tilted toward the side wall with the accuracy coming from the line of the sing down the floorboard and power from the racquet head quick movement. The forehand is different and I have made a video of that which is available on my KZbin channel www.youtube.com/@squashanalysis5670

For making this sort of videos, where you hit the ball only once in a while, you should use a much bouncier ball to make it more "game-like"... Probably a red dot ball or a blue dot ball. - Other than that, thank you for making those videos!

Good suggestion, I get on a roll when making the videos and sometimes I don't plan ahead. As long as you take away the main learning outcomes then it is a successful video. A blue dot makes it much easier for me so I should be able to show skills with less mistakes as well.

What's the difference between this and regular swing
@squashanalysis5670Ай бұрын
Lower prep, more in front of your body and follow through down the floorboard. The more you watch my videos the more you will pick up different intricacies in hitting and outcomes.
