For the 2nd last question, I would take that with a pinch of salt. Its Singapore after all and most jobs that you're seeking for requires education / experience or both. Hope it will be a reality check and not too brutally honest for whomever is looking for a job at this period of time

Agree. Most jobs in a business function require a specific hard skill at minimum. Of course hiring managers look out for soft skills during an interview, because they throw out everyone without the hard skills at the resume stage.

Yeap, they may say that experience and education are not the most important, but in reality, you seriously get 2000 salary and qualify only the entry level jobs with just diploma, without relevant experience of at least 1 year. Switching industry is even worse

7:26 commitment is something hard to come by these days. Commitment comes with a price on both parties. Sometimes a price that cannot be compensated.

As someone who been job seeking since phase 1, from my experience if you do not at least have a diploma or physically fit, its gonna be hard to find a job. I only hold a nitec cert, couldn't afford to study further, recently diagnosed with medical issue so I'm not really physically fit. So ya tough luck at job seeking yo.

I wonder why any job seeker wants to introduce herself by telling the hiring manager her age unless she is responding to a job that specifies older age as a criteria. Rather, focus on your skills, strength and the challenges you like.
