I love how you keep your calm even if winning or losing a game is worth 1000 bucks. You are really a role model when it comes to (professional) gaming. There are so many people out there who would just rage over what's happening. Thank you!

Great draft, tons of fun! Yeah, looking back I think blue green may have been the lane? Two steelseekers and lots of prototypes. Not that I even saw it as I was watching the first time. But you're the pro here, and clearly you did great! Congrats!

Really awesome first match, I doubt many would have won that first game. Perfect decisions all the way. A thing you could be thinking about more is boarding out a land on the draw. For example vs the monored guy, boarding out a mountain instead of the lantern. Thanks for the video, great stuff.

Isn’t it worth it to play it safe and mulligan that first hand in the last match to ensure you don’t have a non game? Or is mulliganing the equivalent to nearly losing if you’re on the play? Because even with the research desk you’d have to get “lucky” to some extent and draw either the colors you need or simply more land after the first to even play your deck. Is mulliganing really that punishing?
@ogolthorp2 жыл бұрын
A mulligan in limited is really bad. Like really really bad.
@RW777777772 жыл бұрын
It's really bad if your cards are average or lower. Same reason Nummy will keep a 4 land opener aggro hand and draw 3 land off the top and immediately espouse that 'death is inevitable ' it's a mantra to tighten up because any misplay will cost him the game because RNG isn't doing any favors
@cerotidinon2 жыл бұрын
I think it depends on your deck strategy. If you're a slow deck anyway and you have ways to deal with your opponents creatures and stabilize the board state I think mulligans are very bad since you lose the card advantage that you're trying to build. If you are a fast deck which has to win in the first turns you have to mulligan. If you watch videos of BenS, he is notorious for never doing mulligans, but he also likes those slow grindy decks.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one experiencing absolute bullshit level of mana flood recently. And the odd time it's not flood it's mana screw although most of the time it's flood and it's at the worst time. This can't be random, it happens way too often. I even go out of my way to play 16 lands as often as I can in my drafts to avoid it and it still happens on the regular. Most games just before conceding I look at my deck and it's something like 24 cards left in deck, 19 of them spells.
