New to going cruelty free. Thank you for the help. In changing to cruelty free I'm surprised with a few things. 1) How many name brands, especially my favorites :( are not! 2) Not many people talk about it. It's not as common and I hope that changes. 3) Before I got into researching, it was really hard to find other options. I did have to do some digging to get started and again I hope that changes.

Hi Rhian! ❤️ To answer your question, yes, you are using the essence and serum in the correct order! Essences are supposed to be a pre step to your other treatment products to make them more effective for your skin (: Also, as you mentioned the “rule” is to use products from lightest and water based to those that have a thicker consistency. Thank you for the great skincare video; I always find myself having to go out and buy all the products you recommend 😂

The moonlight catalyst is fantastic! I haven’t gone for the full thing but my sample was phenomenal!! I use glow tonic before as well but haven’t had irritation because the Kypris seems so gentle for a retinoid.

Obsessed with skincare vids (and your vids in general)! Ive been on a makeup no buy so I can focus on skin lol. Some products I've been loving lately: AM Pixi rose cleanser has really been helping calm down my redness. I follow with thayers moisturizing toner, pixi milky mist, boots no 7 pore minimizing serum, and belif true moisturizing cream (heaven). For PM I do a first cleanse with Sonia kashuk dissolve gel to oil cleanser then follow with the pixi cleanser, glow tonic, milky mist, and use tarte maracuja oil and belif cream. I also use ole Hendrickson banana bright eye cream day and night. I have combo/oily skin and this routine has changed so much for me! Would love to hear other subscribers cruelty free faves:)

Love this video as per usual! Can't wait to try some new products. I will say the Derma E Nourishing Rose Cleansing Oil is amazing for removing makeup, even my waterproof mascara! Probably not near as luxurious as the May Lindstrom potion but I absolutely love it! And it's runs about $18 so would be a great alternative if you're looking for more budget friendly. That's exactly how I do my first cleanse at night to take my makeup off, except that I just use organic coconut oil from the grocery store because I'm cheap. I do a second cleanse with a gel because Caroline Hirons says no foam. lol. I love that Hirons.

About the Blemish Serum and te essence, you're applying it in the right order! My dermatologist would always tell me you need to apply salicylic acid after moisturizer because it would dry out your skin otherwise. (He'd prescribed me a cream with a VERY high Salicylic acid % so he'd tell me to apply it until after I'd finished my whole routine and only at night, but I'm guessing the same rules apply here!)

Hi Rhian, I love your videos. I just wanted to mention that because the May.L cleanser is so expensive, It's best to use as a second cleanse after removing your make up with an alternative cleanser. You'll probably make more use of the skincare benefits in the product and it would last longer too. I think caroline hirons mentions it in one of her videos about second cleanse products xxxxx

I was actually going to message you and ask what you have been using to replace your PC items, and I am almost out of mine, and am no longer going to support the brand either. I have found the Derma E glycolic toner to be gentle, yet effective, in the event you want to try something once you are done with the Pixi Glow Tonic. I use retinal and it dries out my skin so bad. I can’t seem to find anything that will hydrate it enough! I’ve tried so many things. Seems like everything I’ve tried lately isn’t going good. Hopefully I can try some of these things and it will go better 😊
