No matter what horrid changes the game has underwent in the recent years, this song has remained as an intact timecapsule and window to a time I, and many others, hold very dearly… I miss that sweet spot in 2009-2014, life was simple and happy, the internet was anarchy, a very fun and wonderful non-corporate anarchy, gaming was thriving with original games and features, technology was advancing in new and exciting ways, not in new and horrifying ways… It was during that small window of time, between me being mostly unaware of the state of the world, but still knowing it was somewhat negative; and the crushing realisation we might cause our own doom (wich has only grown more and more plausible, and more and more crushing with each passing year) that at least to me, a random small kid, it seemed like we as a species might maybe, just maybe, make it out of its homeworld… Whew, that was a lot of text, thanks for reading and sorry everyone, I got a bit carried away by nostalgia, wish y’all the best

Read it all the way. I agree so nostalgic. Cant even believe 2016 was 7 years ago like holy crap. I was watching dantdm and markiplier, and some questionable minecraft rp videos as a wee lad. And of course also played pixel gun 3d although not really knowing what the hell was going on I was about 8-9 years of age. Silent school map was also really nostalgic since I was traumatized by the whispers during story mode. Good times.
