@@DavidFalla : Just saw this today. I'm blessed and blessed to be busy. Mom passed the day before Mama's Day, but I believe she's with the Lord and that STRONG faith, keeps my heart and mind. Thanks for asking and I pray all is well with you too, Sir.

hey david, I saw you go from 0 closed (to make bald line), 1 closed, 2 closed, only to start from the bottom with 0 closed (fading up). This would make that bottom portion be a fade from 0 to 1, but don't you feel like that's too small of a section for that much of a difference in length? -taking out the bald line with 0 closed - fade up with no guard - end at 1 closed which becomes 0, .25 .5 1 , where you usually want more space between the .5 and 1 for the half guard to do some fade work no? Let me know if my question is confusing -what I am struggling with most is understanding how big you want your sections to be to have a nice gradual fade. I find that it's harder to see the middle section where you typically use a 1 open for the second guideline since it usually looks like it blends into the top of a person's hair (especially for asian straight hair) What do you think?

I know this comment is old but watch Chris Bossio! He will say how high he goes with each guard. With a mid fade, inch up with the 0, inch with 0 lever down, and so on. The 0 and half is the most important part to stretch for the fade, while the rest can be more compressed as you go up.

@@beingashope Hey Hope, I really appreciate the recommendation! Do you mind linking a specific video where he does that? I feel in his videos from the past year, he stays too high up in level of detail and not enough granularity like what you mentioned, but I haven't gone through all of his videos yet.

@@acseattle1975 kzbin.info/www/bejne/fXLRiaV_qcZqgJo I’ll search for more since I’ve been watching him lately. He mentions “go up maximum an inch” and it looks like about 3/4 of an inch in his videos, it’s hard to tell in a video. It all depends on how much bulk people want left in the occipital bone area, how high or low of a fade, their head shape, and hair texture. Sometimes if people have very dense dark hair, you have to stretch the fade out to see the ombré effect. Low fade will start at the end of the sideburn, mid fade at the end of the eyebrow, high fade will be the top of the C cup. So much info to soak up.

What an amazing haircut! Slightly different than other tutorials that mention the guards you skipped but I liked this method much more and I think I will begin doing it this way, but I have one question: does the clipper you used here with the lever have a fade blade or taper blade?
