It took my skin at least 9 months to see truly great results from my prescription tretinoin. I use a retinaldahyde eye cream and saw firming within 6 months, I imagine by a year will see much better results. I’ve used tretinoin for 13 years and never even knew it was anti aging til maybe 3-4 years ago. Lol I just kept using so acne wouldn’t come back

Thank you for this review of actives! I'm guilty of getting discouraged and moving onto another product. I'm prescribed tretinoin, but I LOVE my glycolic acid so much more, believe it or not. I also love niacinamide. I use that daily. I'm not a huge fan of lactic acid. Thank you again!!!

I only have acne on my chin, but it's been constant for 3 years now. Tried doxycycline, tetracycline, Differine, Azaleic acid, BP, salicylic acid, erythromycin lotion, even silver chitoderm....not all at once! Gave each treatment 12 weeks (or more), and nothing has helped. Dermatologists wants to try Accutane, but I really don't want to take it 😫. I've given up cows milk. Not sure what to do, but the pustules are so painful. Doc did a swab and said no bacteria was present!

Hello Dr, how should we layer vitamin C and Niacinamide? I use SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic and Paula's Choice Niacinamide 10%. Should I space use one AM or PM or space them out and if so how long do I leave it on before applying the other one?? I don't want the products to cancel each others effect before putting on my peptide moisturiser. Thanks

I have stubborn closed comedones on my nose and underneath my eyes (it’s not Milia) that don’t react to any active or product. I have been using tretinoin for years with no positive effect to my acne. My dermatologist answer is only tretinoin. I’m thinking of getting a new dermatologist at this point because I need something effective that gets rid of closed comedones (I have tried the Paula’s choice salycylic acid like everyone recommends but that did absolutely nothing. I’ve done several chemical peels, microdermabrasion, facial planing, diet changes, laser therapy. Nothing helps. Any suggestions or advice?

@michelletidler6773 Жыл бұрын
Just going to share my thoughts on this product. I worked for this line for many years. Been in high end beauty for decades as well. This ANR serum is not worth the money at all. I received so many free bottles of this and used it and saw no difference. Do yourself a favor and skip the dept store products. If you're going to splurge then splurge on in office treatments. Head to your local drugstore or Wal Mart to save on the skincare. Same with Sephora products although I do think The Inkey List and The Ordinary have some great products at affordable prices. The rest youre just paying for their marketing.

@@michelletidler6773 Thank you so much for your comment. Do you have any thoughts on CeraVe? I saw another dermatologist talk about the CeraVe PM Facial Moisturazing Lotion ultra lightweight and how it has similar ingredients like este lauder but cheaper and better.

@@ScorpionGirlabc I dont care for any of CeraVes facial moisturizers. They all break both me and my daughter out. Their cleansers are good and body cream is ok but getting way too expensive. I dont know of any of their products that compare ingredient wise to Estees. But CeraVe is a much better price point. I am more of a Vanicream fan. Ive used their cleanser for years and wont do without it. Their facial moisturizer and bodycream are fantastic. If youre looking for anti aging then id say use a retinol. Although it has done nothing for me personally. I love glycolic acid and I do use a vitamin C serum(a cheap one but I like it). I use a good sunscreen daily. Theres too many lines and too much manipulation within the skincare/cosmetic world. I got out of it in November. Sick to death of it. Keep it simple. Eat healthy and protect your skin. Those are the key.
