My husband and I started sleeping separate 8 years ago and OMG I couldn't believe the amazing sleep I got, why is this not a good thing? you are married not attached at the hip! I have been married 34 years and the man snores VERY loudly and moves around ALL night, when I hit 50 I was like enough! This does not impact ANY other part of the relationship unless someone needs a blankey and that is a whole different set of issues!

64 here so talking in hindsight. At 16 I met a set of twins who were separated by their parents at the time of divorce. One stayed here in PA where I live and one moved with her dad to Florida, and was an extreme sunbathers. THE DIFFERENCE AT 30 was ready astounding with skin texture. I learned from this and sought out the only sunscreen i could find which was the consistency and smell of Elmer's glue. But I stuck with it and at 64 i sag and droop for sure but great skin for my age! Wonderful advice today especially the SUNSCREEN.

Thank you so much for this video. I’m 43- I’ve had too many cancerous lesions since early 2000s. Just a week ago I was notified that a lesion on my scalp is basal cell carcinoma and I need ANOTHER Mohs surgery on my scalp. Yes- I had Mohs on my scalp in early 2000s and lost a chunk of my head. I have a golf ball size divot on the top off my head which will not grow hair due to scars. I now have to go back in Dec. for another Mohs surgery. Other lesions have been removed via plastic surgery or just excised. As a South Florida sun bather in my teens, I urge you to get your skin checked and wear your sunscreen, especially in your 40s. I was in my very early twenties and I was already afraid of ageing. (Influence from some relatives.) Then I met someone who was in his 40s and he was overreacting. He was behaving as if he were in his 70s or 80s. Seeing this person has cured me of all this. I told to myself that I don't want to end up like this person, exaggerating everything. By the way, I know of a person in their 80s. He DOESN'T behave like that all. You wouldn't even know you're dealing with an elderly person. So it's all about your mentality.

Perfect point on sleeping in separate bedrooms- been doing this for a couple years now and never slept better. Also, I am probably an exception to the rule in terms of skin drying, I’m 42 and my skin is still very oily. It might be a family thing because my dad still has oily skin in his 60’s 🤷♀️

I sleep with earplugs and eye mask That really help out me in deeper sleep mode. I have sensitive hearing. Ear plugs helped!

Moving into my mid 40's and yes my skin has gone crazy. Up till my early 40's I had amazing skin. Then all of a sudden I got crazy acne & oil, then very bad (red & scaly) eczema with dry skin, and then now back to some oiliness but very sensitive skin. And you're very dead on about lack of sleep. I want to sleep but I can't - it's frustrating. These crazy hormonal changes, I almost can't wait until it's over.

Thank you for this video, I have just turned 40 in October but was dreading it as I suffer from Gerascophobia. I've done my best to look after my skin for as long as I can remember because if this but until recently I had no sort of direction. I only found you today and the way in which you talk about aging didn't trigger me like some self proclaimed specialists do! Thank you for being you. X

FYI For those scared of the cpap machine- I went to my dentist & I now use my new dental aligner. No more sleep apnea or snoring!! Works great 💕

Me too. But i wish it came in a big tub, it seems to run out fast.
@katarinal43824 жыл бұрын
Viviana S how long does it last you?
@karyon10074 жыл бұрын
One small tub usually lasts me at least two months, probably longer. It's heavy and spreads easily, so it doesn't take much to cover my face and neck. I might go through it a bit faster in the dead of winter just because I use a thicker layer.

Waiting for my 50's video. Because of you and all your good advise, had a 20 something kid tell me today, I could not be 54. He thought I was 40. 🤣 Went to a Derm. This week for a spot on my leg. It was ok and she asked me was there anything else I wanted her to look at. I have a lot of Melasma on my cheeks. I have been using Diferin. She said keep it up. She was awesome. she gave me a script for 8% Hydroquinone. And Asked me to come back in 3 months. She is going to check all my "freckles" then.

In Belgium, a woman called "Goedele Liekens", who has been a UNFPA Goodwill Ambassador for 15 years was just recently diagnosed with skin cancer. It really hits you when it happens to someone you "know" from the media and from her work. She has been in politics in the last couple years, for the liberal party. I can't but urge people to protect their skin. It is an important, very important message; and I'm glad you're getting it out there.

I agree so much with this. Moisturize moisturize and moisturize. After cleansing and toner I use retinol and a snail crème with a thick layer of vaseline on top. Otherwise it feels and looks my face dry. When I wake up. The first thing I do is drink lots of water.
