Skinny Puppy VIP soundcheck with band introduction, jokes, and the story of Ogre getting his teeth pulled after the incident in Minneapolis, MN.
I am forever grateful to experience VIP for Skinny Puppy, and to see them for one last and final time. Incredible band with amazing members, astounding music, and phenomenal live shows. Getting to hang out with my SP friends - who I consider a part of my extended family. Thank you for accepting me into your crazy tribe and being so fucking cool - and thank you, Skinny Puppy. I still remember my first SP show in February of 2014. Now it's my 3rd and last SP show and one concert I'll absolutely never forget. Thank you.

i was front row in minneapolis when he got his teeth knocked out. he finished the set and came out for an encore even though he was visibly in a lot of pain (it was hard to watch if I'm being real 😥). i respect the fuck out of this man for his dedication to his craft and not holding it against dustin for the injury. he does too much for the fans holy shit...

I saw the video of it happening and yeah - it's fucking brutal and really sad. This whole tour has been a series of unfortunate events for Ogre. However, him still showing up to do the VIP and doing the full show just shows us all how much of a professional and upstanding class act he is and deserves so much respect because we all know the vast majority of musicians would not even think about doing a show after such a horrible accident. Ogre is a legit angel and such a nice, friendly, down to earth guy. I met/ran into him once outside the venue at like 11am back in 2014 on the Shapes For Arms tour and he unfortunately couldn't chat or take pics because he was sick and had trouble going on at home he was trying to take care of. However an hour or so after the show ended later than night, he sent me a personal message on Facebook saying sorry for being curt and not being able to chat and take pics and that he noticed me up front singing along to every song and that he appreciated me being understanding and nice. I am forever grateful to Ogre, cEvin, Matthew, Justin, Dustin and Dre. They're amazing people and genuinely good people.

Ogre is a true, amazing, hero of a human. I have been a fan of his since I first heard a Skinny Puppy album back in 1987, and he has never disappointed me as an artist, or from what I have seen publicly, as a person.

I was at the Minneapolis show and when i seen him do that i had to choke back the tears until after the show. It hurt me seeing him in so much pain that i cried my entire 3 hour drive home. I've never cried for a musician like this in year's. I am glad he's doing a lot better and i hope he can finish out the tour strong!

I hope he doesn't encounter anymore mishaps on this tour. Getting your teeth knock out is a crazy thing to go through...but he's a badass for carrying on with the show.

oh god that sounds traumatizing. teeth/mouth injuries/mishaps absolutely fuck with your head in more ways than one. it can be so hard not to break down and freak out between the pain, fear, expense... dude the thought of him crying in a bunk about this breaks my fucking heart.

thanks for posting. for the folks down in the front right stage area. i didn't realize how tall cEvin's keyboard riser was until i saw this video. you can't even see him really. glad to see this kind of fan interaction. i've only seen SP 3 times. twice with Dwayne, and once without. however, they were never this social.

Of course! And yeah, his riser is fucking HUGE! I could only see him in that spot when he was hovering over his synths. When he took a step back or was chatting, I couldn't see him at all lol. I seen SP 3 times and actually got the chance to talk and take a pic with cEvin on my first time seeing em live (met/ran into Ogre too but was short lived - I posted the story in a separate comment on this video) and cEvin was incredibly nice and chill. I look like a goofball in my pic with him, but I cherish the hell out of it and the fact that he was willing to take a pic with a goober like me. He was smiling too because I think he thought my shirt was funny.

Damn, dude. Sorry to hear that. That's really unfortunate. They do plan on doing a few more shows after this tour just to hit up a few places they missed this go around. So hopefully they play somewhat near you and you can make the trip out to see em. They're absolutely worth traveling to see!

In the 3 decades I've seen them, that show was truly awful. It felt like I ordered Skinny Puppy off of Wish. Sadly I think Cevin must have received a recent terminal prognosis because this entire tour was noticeably thrown together and sloppy from a lack of meaningful practice. No one knows why Ogre has a random hypeman to tear his teeth out on this tour. There were about 65 cell phone autists all recording the same terrible footage. You missed nothing.

Nice! That's awesome! Front and center! It really was a fantastic night. Of course! I don't ever take videos during shows as I like to live in the moment, but I figured the VIP should be recorded just so we can relive it over and over again lol. I was honestly surprised to see that this video came out as good as it did, because I was just holding my phone to my chest and not looking at my phone. Was so focused on actually watching em on stage. I think the only time I looked at my phone was when I was zooming in on Dustin and that was just so I could make sure that I got Dustin in the video lol.

The show was fucking fantastic! The fact they played my utmost favorite SP song and it hasn't been played live since 2005 blew my damn mind. The grin on my face turned into a full on smile lol. It was my third and most likely final time seeing them live. I saw them live twice in 2014 (once in February on the Shapes For Arms tour and the other time in December on the Eye Vs Spy tour) and both were absolutely amazing shows. They put on a bad ass show last night! I didn't record any of the songs during the full show since I like to actually watch the show and live in the moment. Though I do wish I would have recorded at least part of a song. Thankfully I had a handful of friends at the show and even my old high school social studies teacher was there and was kind enough to send me some videos of Trauma Hounds and The Choke. By what I've seen over the past few years is that touring Europe is unfortunately just too expensive now. I do hope they do an extension of the tour and hit up a few Euro spots so the Euro SP family gets some love one last time. Everyone deserves a chance to see them at least once in their life. It's a [head] trip and life changing experience.

I think this tour is just the first leg of "The Final Tour". It's mostly East Coast/ mid west cities. They've hinted at more shows by posting something like "don't worry west coast fans, we'll see you soon!" They got bills to pay and it would make no sense to miss the European market Start saving your money and hopefully you'll be in a good position when they book their euro tour

I'm just now realizing I never actually answered your question lol. My bad. I believe VIP was let in the venue around 3pm. We had to go back outside after the VIP soundcheck, photo session, and early merch grabs. I think after all of that, we had to wait 2 hours outside? It was 2 or 3 hours before VIP members were let back into the venue for the show. Normal ticket holders were let in once every VIP member was let in. I'm not too sure how long normal ticket holders had to wait as I was front row on the barricade and didn't look behind me too often.
