No one is saying its impossible to get off a council estate but it is very difficult. Just because you have done it does not mean anyone that works hard is going to do it. Some people on council estates don't want to work hard, of course. But some do work hard and still get nowhere. Bollocks. I grew up on very rough estate with abusive family, and unlike everyone else. I studied, worked, and now that life is a distant memory. It's not a privilege - that's an excuse you all embrace to carry on doing nothing. Education doesn't mean university, it can include apprenticeships, youth training, etc. At my business lots of immigrants who have no benefits, or even speak English, apply. However I have NEVER had a person from a council estate apply - EVER.
